The rooms are fairly clean. A few dead flies on the laminate floor, but other than that o.k. Modern tv, but not a great deal of channels to choose from. The bathroom was clean, but outdated. What really bothered me was the hotel grounds had litter on it: a Tim's timbit package, an old ketchup bottle, globs of tissue, beer can, pieces of plastic, etc. There also was broken glass in the parking lot, across from the registration desk. They have a restraunt but it was closed. There is a restraunt one minute away. The view of Seal Island bridge is beautiful.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on a quick weekend trip around the Cabot trail. The owner was very accommodating as we arrived much later than I had anticipated. The room had very nice linens and I was pleasantly surprised to see newer flooring instead of a carpet. The building is older, but very comfortable. Slept quite well and had plenty of hot water for showers! It is an older building and one room seemed chilly. Couldn't get the heat working, but it was late so an extra blanket was thrown on the bed.

We stayed here on our way to Newfoundland. This was a nice place to stay clean. We also booked for on the way back we just wanted to cancel that night and book the next night. Just beware if anything happens that you can’t get there ie: the ferry getting cancelled they will still charge you. They could see we were telling the truth it was all over the news. Unfortunate for them because we will not book there again.

This motel is a bit run down. Appears that new owners arre trying to re ovate it but they seem to be doing it themselves so the poor workmanship shows. The good - room is a decent size, view is nice, room comes with a small fridge and microwave. Needs improvement - bathroom is poorly outdated, tv is small, air conditioner is small and is installed through a rough hole in the wall (makes it look shoddy). Breakfast starts at 8 am, which is late if you are looking for an early start. The bad - bedsheeets are stained, towels look dirty but I think they just don't clean them thoroughly (no bleach),

I’ve never written a review like this ever. Stay away. Go anywhere else. The duvet and sheets were wet (not damp) on both beds. The room looks like a bunker. Tv from the 60s but doesn’t work. No wifi service If we hadn’t driven all day and arrived at dark we’d of just gone elsewhere. Sign outside said $89 @ nite we paid 158$ apparently because we have 2 crated dogs. One is a service dog. Do NOT try taking the cold shower.
