We loved our one night stay at the Baddeck Heritage House Bed and Breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the Baddeck room on the ground floor. The bed was comfortable, plenty of power and hot water in the shower. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful, and the homemade scones and malt loaf were absolutely delicious. A wonderful place to stay when exploring Cape Breton!
This is not a review, because I don’t need to repeat every review comments about how excellent this lovely B&B is. This is a big thank you to Dick and Liz who made us so welcome and so enjoyable to stay in their property. They are ever so helpful. I called Dick the day before we were due to arrive to ask him to arrange a wheelchair for us. Dick wasn’t quite sure where to get one but he did find one in the local pharmacy. He said if they did not have one available, he would try the hospital. Dick even went to the pharmacy with us to make sure everything is fine. What a helpful gentleman he is. Liz is a lovely kind lady. One of my travelling companions was not easily mobile, Liz swiftly made an easy accessible room available for him. Yes, that is true, her breakfast is really second to none. Dick and Liz are genuinely care and kind people. Thanks very much again for everything.…
On a recent trip to Nova Scotia, we stayed here for 2 of the 4 nights we were on Cape Breton Island. Wish it could have been for all 4, but they were sold out. Nonetheless, this was a real find and a great experience. Liz & Dick were outstanding hosts who made us feel at home, engaged us in great conversation, and served us some of the best breakfasts we had on our trip. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spotless. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Cape Breton Island.
We were sad to leave Heritage House after spending 5 nights there. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in, the shower was excellent and the homemade breakfasts were delicious. It was delightful to sit outside on the deck with a glass of wine, looking out across the lawn. Liz also provided us with pots of tea which made us feel right at home. Liz and Dick are so kind and hospitable and we would say meeting them was a very special part of our holiday. In fact, when we left, it felt like saying goodbye to friends.
