We were on a bus tour. The rooms were ample and beds comfortable. There was a laundromat, the first one at any of the hotels we had stayed at. I was so happy. Nice places to sit outside and enjoy the morning. We ate several meals here and they were all good.

After reviewing so many negative reviews on this property, we were optimistic booking the deluxe king “newly renovated “ room. NOT DISAPPOINTED‼️ it was exactly the accommodations that we wanted....loved it😊

The grounds are beautiful and the Inn is in good repair. The location in Baddeck is an excellent home base to enjoy the local restaurants and shops. The room was clean and provided what we required, but the amenities were very basic. For the price, I expected plush towels and better bathroom accoutrements . . . everything felt like an economy hotel.

We booked 2 nights, Oct. 10/11 2022. The room we were given was fine - deluxe king. I e-mailed the hotel several days prior re: Canadian thanksgiving dinner, Oct. 10. We were advised On Oct. 9th that we would have to call on the 10th. I called at 9:00 am, to get a reservation for 6:30 - accepted their 7:15 best effort. Upon arrival, we were told how busy they were, and were put at a table that while they indicated it was part of the dining room, was more like part of the lobby with overly bright lights and no privacy or ambiance. We decided to forego the Thanksgiving turkey dinner due to the lack of ambiance. My wife's dinner was delivered cold, and in her opinion was terrible. She was unable to eat it. We asked for the manager, and Wahab, Operations Manager arrived. We indicated our displeasure. We were summarily dismissed. This was supposed to be a great get-away. It was primarily due to the lack of accepting any responsibility by the manager. We will dine elsewhere tomorrow and will never stay here again. We travel to Cape Breton on an annual basis (at the least) and were eager to try the Auberge Gisele's Inn. Yikes, how disappointed were we with the customer service. Respectfully submitted, the Barrys.

Gisela’s was an excellent place to stay in Baddeck. A short walk(5-10) min to the Main Street which is nice when you want to stretch your legs especially after driving. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet at night, which made for a restful sleep.

This hotel looked cute, and was clean however a number of issues were most aggravating..1. Large tour buses arrived and took out a number of parking spots near the building making parking difficult and farther away for individual guests. 2. Wifi was out and unavailable in rooms although front desk indicated it was working, 3. We were told breakfast did not begin serving until 730 however when we arrived the breakfast was already underway delaying our departure.

It was so beautiful on the outside but horrible on the inside. The hotel manager was so rude. We were lumped in with the group bus tour. No one approached out table, we had no idea what was happening. Throughout all of Canada all our of our breakfast meals were included. This place was not. We did not realize it. We tried to explain to the manager, he had no sympathy.... was actually rude. Additionally, my husband is diabetic. The hotel had our number. It was not reported until at least 12 hours latter. I called the first day after we returned, the hotel manager said , it would have been reported by a maid. I called the second day after we returned home, they said it was reported and was at the hotel .Really....... Like we are going to go back for a 12 hour drive. Horrible place. My family is from Canada and if they cannot reimburse you for a horrible 35 breakfast that we did not realize and not report insulin missing for 2 days latter, what more is there left to say... except I called 2 different times and the manager I dealt with never called mem back. Just awful. Will not return, will not recommend to anyone.

We stayed here 2 nights and got a second floor room (210) in the Huntley Bldg. Nice comfortable room size and bed good. Would have been nice to be able to close the drapes at night for privacy and darkness, but the drapes are fixed and only sheer curtains to cover the windows. We did not eat at the restaurant but inside dined waterfront one evening and at the Cable Room in the Telegraph House the other. Both good dinners. Ate our breakfasts at Bean There Cafe...which was excellent. Do be aware that this inn is used by large tour buses as there are a lot of rooms...but that did not bother us.

My family traveled the Cabot Trail and stayed in a number of Inns and I found the bed at Gisele's to be the most comfortable. However, what makes this Inn a stand out facility is the quick response from the hotel staff. We called the front desk to ask for someone to light the fireplace in the room and within 5 minutes someone was knocking on our door. I've never had such response from any other hotel I've stayed at in over 40 years of traveling. Also, the food was delicious. And their location was within walking distance to the shops and restaurants as well as the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm back in Baddeck.

Location was great - close to gas stations, convenience stores & restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were beautiful with lovely views. We didn’t dine at the place and hence, no comments on the matter. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend !
