Wife and I spent a night at this location while touring the Cabot Trail. We had room 407, king bed with propane fire place, fridge, coffee maker, robes and slippers. Lovely room, very comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely friendly, the property is very well maintained and looks out over the Bras Dor lake, located within walking distance of the Main Street. After spending a day of hiking and driving, we decided to relax and eat at the inn rather than going out, the food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, staff were very friendly. The Saturday that we stayed here also happened to be our anniversary and we could not have been more pleased. Continental breakfast is also included in your stay, cereal, boiled eggs, pastries, etc.. nice touch before heading out.…
We weren’t staying at the Inn but came for dinner and were blown away. We ordered the smoked salmon and couldn’t believe the portion size for the price. The whipped horseradish was also a unique touch. We smelled the fettuccine Alfredo being delivered to another table and had to have it. Quite possibly the best Alfredo I have ever had, and the lobster addition is worth it. The fish tacos were a unique combination, feta and jalapeño but also among the best I’ve had. This is definitely a must go to for seafood lovers, the prices are totally reasonable and the portions are more than worth it. The server we had was also super friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember her name. She suggested a lot of things for us to do in the area that were very tailored to what we were interested in. …
We had 2 rooms booked and last minute I developed a cold. With covid symptoms similar to my cold symptoms I was uncomfortable about travelling. We were past the cancellation requirement of 72 hours, but Richard, the kind gentlemen was very understanding and reimbursed us for the whole amount, even putting me at ease saying he thought I was doing the right thing. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Cabot Cabot Trail....hopefully soon!
I was one of a group of three motorcycle travelers who found ourselves in Baddeck at the end of a beautiful day, mid long weekend, without a hotel reservation. The staff at Gisele's couldn't do enough for us and even upgraded us to a larger room at no charge when they determined that the third person's cot would make staying in the room too tight. Great Young and attentive staff. Great curried chick peas and butter chicken. Great price. Beautiful premises. I spend between 50 and 100 nights a year in hotels. I haven't written a Tripadvisor review in over a year but this experience was worth spreading the word.
We were so happy to stay here for the night. It is situated within walking distance to everything you need to access in town. The check in was welcoming and quick and the room was spacious and very clean. There was a complimentary breakfast in the am. It had a great variety and again, very clean and attended to. I highly recommend staying here.
