We were thoroughly entertained by the owner/host at the breakfast. Our upstairs room had a lovely view of Bras D’Or Lake and was clean, bright and spacious, although the bathroom could have been a bit bigger in this particular room. Very enjoyable place to stay and we would definitely return.

We have never been to Cape Breton before, so when I called John Pino, the inn keeper, I was initially only going to book one night, as our plan was to stay in different places around the Cabot Trail. John suggested staying three nights in one of his cottages as he said Baddeck is the beginning and the end of...

We stayed in the Bay Room. It was very spacious and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. The bathroom is across the hall but it is spacious and very quaint and it was no problem crossing the hall. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of items. We loved the historic nature and preservation of this house...

We are so happy we took our friends' recommendation to stay here. The location is perfect to day trip around the area and explore the cabot trial. John went above and beyond in assisting us and I can't recommend him or his inn enough. He drew maps and made suggestions for each day. This is the place to stay!

We are from the US touring NS and PEI and stayed here based upon a trip advisor recommendation. We are glad we did. When we arrived John provided a nice plan for hitting the high spots and activities for the next 3 days. He was spot on. We had the famous library room and really liked it. Room was very...

My husband and I stayed at the Broadwater Inn for three days during our honeymoon tour of Nova Scotia. Baddeck was our favorite town during our trip and the Broadwater Inn was a perfect location to explore the area. The Library Room was beautiful and spacious - very comfortable bed! We loved having the small sitting area for reading and...

What a gem of a place in Cape Breton. My only regret was not meeting John the innkeeper whom many people have said so many nice things about! We were greeted by Dorothy when we arrived who was very friendly and helpful. We were in the Breton room. It was a beautiful, from the the Four poster bed and crisp...

We had a great 3 night stay at the Broadwater Inn. Simple clean room with large opening windows, small bathroom but a large private deck that over looked the Bras D'or, great place to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the evenings. Hearty breakfasts and good conversations with John, the inn keeper/owner, about where to go and what...

The host (John) was full of personality and lots of local info and stories. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The location was a very short drive from the town center and across from the water. Baddeck is a cute town - 2 nights was enough as we made our way around Cape Breton.

This inn was perhaps one of the highlights of our entire stay in Cape Breton. We slept in "The Library", where Alexander Graham Bell spent a great deal of time meeting with friends as they were planning some of his great projects. John, the owner has lived in Baddeck his entire life. Ask him for the history of the homestead....
