The Sail Loft Cottage is a wonderful spot for a couple to spend a few days or longer. Well appointed, quaint, with all the necessary needs (another fry pan or two would be nice) and an amazing view. The location right in Baddeck is perfect and you can walk to many shops, restaurants, the farmers market and of course are...

We enjoyed a brilliant fortnight in this small but fantastically attractive cottage and Mary Lynn was a friendly and welcoming host. We cannot recommend this cottage enough. The upstairs and downstairs windows look out over the most spectacular view of the Bras d'Or Lake. The cottage is panelled throughout and the furniture is lovely with clean towels and clean bedding...

We enjoyed staying at this cottage so much we stayed an extra night. It's a very warm and charming timber cottage, with great kitchen, bathroom and living facilities and lovely linen. The cottage has lots of character, is very comfortable, and in a beautiful location right on the waters edge. The owner provided some delicious breakfast foods and was very...

This lovely cottage is a real gem in the heart of Baddeck, Nova Scotia. We stayed here for three relaxing nights and our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay. The cottage is right on the water and includes the use of a private dock complete with two deck chairs. We spent several hours enjoying the beautiful...

We stayed here in June and loved it. Everything was perfect apart from the weather - and the cottage was a great little retreat from unseasonably cold weather. It's in a great location and Mary-Lynn was a great hostess.

This is a fabulous place to stay in Baddeck. We found its location perfect and the cottage itself was so clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bed and bedding were wonderful. The view is spectacular and we loved sitting and watching the activity on the water. You can easily walk to restaurants and shops. Alexander Graham Bell Museum is right...

The Sail Loft Cottage location on the shore of the Bras d'Or Lakes is perfect. From anywhere in the cottage, one can see the lighthouse, the island, and the harbor boat activity. The queen bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the well-equipped kitchen with fresh local fish, and with produce from the Wednesday Baddeck Farmers' Market....

We stayed here in early September, 2013 and used it as a base to explore the Cabot trail. This is a well equipped and delightful cottage. It is right on the water and extremely private with it's own little garden and dock. The owner provided us with everything to make a great vacation. Rachel, Ontario

We were travelling with a baby, and our hosts let us use a pack and play during our stay. I echo one of the other reviewer's comment that this was like staying in your own home away from home. Fantastic, central location in Baddeck; gorgeous view of the water. I would have no problems recommending this place to other travellers...

The previous reviewer (June 17, 2008) had it right in describing this lovely cottage. A year later, it all still applies. We felt as though we were returning home each day. This is a perfect base for a couple to enjoy Cape Breton. And we thought is was very good value.
