Wonderful stay. Booked for one night, felt at home from arrival to leaving. Decided to extend stay in CB and Auld Farm was first choice of place to stay, unfortunately they had booked up. Glen & Jan very hospitable, attentive to your needs. Very heartily recommend.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful place for one night. Loved the complementary wine bottle from the owners as part of their Fall promotion. Owners are very friendly and made us feel at home. We stayed in Room no. 1 with a private bath. Not a very large room but the bathroom was of great size. The living and dining room are arranged beautifully and it is a warm place to spend time in. The owners packed us a proper breakfast as we were leaving early to explore the Cabot Trail. We also had a good time with their cute dog KC.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and would like to thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our Fall promotion went so well that we ran out of wine before we expected to, so we may do another promotion next season !! Room no. 1 is a small room, but quite suitable for a lot of people, both in their travel requirements and their budget. We hope you had a great experience going around the Cabot Trail. We and KC look forward to welcoming you back to explore more of our beautiful island sometime in the future. Thanks again for your review.

Jan & Glen are a lovely couple and great hosts. Their quiet farm property (only 8 minutes from Baddeck) was such a welcome change for us "city folk". Our room on the second floor was charming. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had all the needed amenities. Don't let the absence of a TV in the room bother you - my wife and I actually talked more, lol. The breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. You get a sense that the prime objective of Jan and Glen is making their guests happy. They made a great suggestion for dinner (The Freight Sled) and arranged tickets for us to join a Ceilidh. I'd definitely recommend this place and will return here on our next visit to Cape Breton.

Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review for us. We do try very hard to make our guests feel at home and comfortable when they stay with us and we are glad that we managed that with you. Also that you and your wife 'talked more' !! The Freight Shed is one of many wonderful eateries in Baddeck and we're glad that you enjoyed your meal there. We hope that we can welcome you back to Auld Farm Inn sometime in the future. Thank you again for your review.

There are so many wonderful things I want to say about this place. Jan and Glenn are both so warm, kind and resourceful people. They went out of their way to help us. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the breakfasts were delicious. KC the doge is so adorable. The air at the farm smells like herbs and grass, it was intoxicating. It felt like we are home. If you are arriving late (after 6 or 7PM), keep in mind that nearly all the restaurants in the nearby town Baddeck is closing at 8PM.

We stayed with Jan and Glen for one night. Enjoyed the room, the excellent breakfast, and the great conversation with the hosts. The place was also easy to find. It was a great place to stay on our way to the Cabot Trail. We would stay there again.
