I spent 6 weeks in Cheticamp for work and had the pleasure of staying at this B&B. I was met on arrival by one of the staff who accommodated everything that I needed: gave me space in the garage to store a road bike and a paddle board as well as providing local knowledge of great activities to try (hiking, swimming, paddling, fishing etc). The room itself had an ocean view which provided stunning sunsets nightly. The dock across from the property was busy with local lobster and crab fishermen as my stay was during the fishing season - this was occasionally noisy but I couldn't hear anything over the heat pump/air conditioning so despite reading previous reviews of this location being "noisy", I found it quiet and lovely. The breakfast included a well appointed assortment of healthy and tasty food (everything from hard boiled eggs and oatmeal to banana chocolate chip muffins and local fresh bread). The location was ideal: walking distance to all town attractions, the grocery store, gym, etc. Most importantly, the staff were truly delightful! They made me feel extremely welcome and as if I was the only guest there. They were professional and courteous with a warm hospitality. I highly recommend this B&B and I will be staying there again!…
Stayed here for one night, the lady who welcomed us was very pleasant , gave us the keys to our room so we could look before we decided to stay. The room was fine, clean with a lovely view from the widows. The breakfast was a "help yourself" continental style affair with toast, bread, eggs, fruit, cereal etc all to hand and as much tea or coffee as you wanted. Overall it was fine for an overnight stay.
The queen bed was very good. We had a room in the back which was quiet, and with a good bathroom. Pluses: very clean place in the heart of town and ideal for the Cabot Trail drive. Not so great: breakfast, and the keeper’s attitude. The woman who welcomed us had a cop’s attitude. Maybe the establishment has had bad previous experiences with Americans, but she was stern and made sure to highlight all the “don’ts” in the building. She made sure that we understood that with the exception of a short window in the morning all common areas were going to be locked most of the day. I must say that her unfriendly welcome was a turn off to an otherwise okay stay. Will not return.
Very comfortable small inn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very nice with window overlooking the main road and ocean. Comfortable beds and very neat and clean rooms. Great location in Cheticamp.
This inn is well run with friendly staff available during the day until 8:00 p.m. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. The continental breakfast was what okay but nothing exceptional. The internet connection was the best we experience on Cape Breton Island among the three places we stayed.
