Detailed Reviews
We came upon the Outback Inn through Google and I’m so glad
This place tops any 5 star accommodation we have ever stayed at. There were so many special touches like ear plugs and complimentary snacks, they thought of everything, the bedding and towels were so lush, bed was very comfy, impeccably clean and very quiet. We will recommend this place to anyone we know wanting to enjoy the Cabot Trail experience

Property's Favourite Review
We had the most wonderful 2 nights stay at Cheticamp Inn. Michelle is a very friendly and caring hostess. She directed us to the hiking trails nearby and also location to view the beautiful sunset, recommended the nearby restaurants etc. in addition to having some great conversations.
We occupied 2 rooms with very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean with all amenities and attention to detail. Supplies included disposable cutlery, crockery, Keurig etc. which were very useful. Our lobster supper on the deck was the best and Michelle and Barry supplied us with garbage bags etc. The Inn is conveniently located in a quiet area close to the town, restaurants, grocery and hiking trails. It is a great place to stay and drive the Cabot Trail and the surrounding trails. We highly recommend the Cheticamp Inn and hope to be back.

This small hotel was excellent. Although the room was fairly small, it was so efficiently put together that it had everything we needed including coffee, snacks, & complimentary laundry in the “lounge”. It was also an exceptionally clean room and the young man who was the housekeeper was both helpful and very friendly. The only small criticism I could offer is that the room was big enough for a queen bed which would have made the stay even more comfortable.

A small family run hotel just outside Cheticamp (5 min). The owners have thought of everything that could make your stay comfortable, free laundry (with soap etc.), a couple chocolate bars( I ate both) lots of plug ins, great bed and pillows, fluffy towels, anf most important, clean, clean, clean!

A charming and comfortable stay! Great amenities and so close to all the beautiful locations in Cheticamp and the National Park. It was so helpful to be able to do a load of laundry (complimentary) and the thoughtful little touches (glasses and corkscrew, snacks etc.) were so appreciated. Highly recommended!!

We did a two week road trip through the Maritimes and switched accommodations every night. The Cheticamp Outback Inn was by far our favourite! It is so well kept and beautifully decorated that we felt like we were staying in a brand new room. Literally everything we could possibly need was available in the room. We were able to go to the grocery store nearby and have dinner in the room since it had a kitchen table, plates, cutlery and a microwave. It’s a quick and easy drive to the Skyline trail (which I highly recommend you experience at sunset). There was a flashlight in the room that we took with us for the hike out. In the morning, we were able to have coffee in the room as a Keurig and pods were provided, as well as real milk and cream in the fridge. Cold bottled water was also in the fridge at no additional cost. Full ice cube trays in the freezer allowed us to refill our cooler without a trip to the store. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

Michelle is a lovely friendly hostess, full of great recommendations. We stayed in #3 — delightfully cozy. The bed is so comfortable . The room had every amenities — coffee maker , cream in the refrigerator , paper plates and bowls and plastic utensils. Definitely a good base for Cape Breton park .

The room wasn’t large but was very well equipped and very clean. There were even chocolate treats left for us.
The hosts were very accommodating.
There is a room nearby that guests are welcome to use if they wish to do laundry during their stay.
There is also shuttle service provided, although we didn’t need it.
We’d definitely recommend this place.

The Outback Inn provided a very well-appointed room - very clean and full of helpful amenities. Laundry facility was handy. The location is about 1 km from the Trail. The hosts (through email) made helpful restaurant suggestions and offered to make a reservation for us at L’Abri which served great food. We used and appreciated the free shuttle that was available. The from was good value. We would return if we are in Cheticamp again.

The room was so tastefully done and spotless! Great area very quiet and close to town. We enjoyed our one night stay along the Cabot Trail. The owner was most helpful in making recommendations for meals and even offered to make reservations for us. We highly recommend this property.
