We traveled with a group of friends for an ATV rally in Cheticamp. My husband and I stayed in the “deluxe king chalet” and we were so impressed. It was beautiful, spacious, clean, private, and had a well equipped kitchen and BBQ. Our friends stayed in the standard chalets and they were also very happy. We all said after leaving that we would definitely stay again!
We stopped in Cheticamp before exploring more of the Cabot Trail the next day. Our chalet was clean and the beds very comfortable, lots of space in the kitchen for making meals. There's also a BBQ on the small front porch. It's a convenient location, although the chalets are across the road from the shore, so not right on the water. Friendly and helpful staff - overall, a very pleasant stay, I'd recommend booking here.
We stayed in Cheticamp due to its proximity to the National Park. It was a great location. The chalets were oversold on its website. It was dark, very close to the road and the "beautiful views" touted, were not. There was no common space except the kitchen table. The soap and shampoo dispenser was empty and there was no soap. The towels were thin and ragged and the only housekeeping dispensed was changing the towels! These appeared to be prefab units just plopped down in a parking lot. Look elsewhere. PS - They did permit us to bring our dog.
We highly recommend staying in Cheticamp (rather than Ingonish area) but were a little disappointed that our cabin was packed in tightly in a line with 3 other cabins. The furnishings were adequate and clean but lighting, linens, bath facilities left something to be desired. I felt that for the price we paid, it should have been nicer.
Very friendly check-in and check-out staff. The chalets are quite spacious. It was clean. Because it is quite close to the street you may here cars driving by. The hotel is in a convenient location. Parking is in front of the chalet. We had a nice stay although we stayed only one night.
