Best thing about this motel: Features a very good hot and cold buffet style breakfast that includes pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs and a special poached egg on ham and muffin and lots of other good looking features I didn't get a chance to try. Buffet breakfast is included with the room. A very well laid out dinning area and...

A very nice motel with a great breakfast. Even tho' I rated 4 out of 5, I would definitely stay again and recommend Laurie's Inn. My only issue was with the desk person who acted like it was a terrible inconvenience for her to give any service. I apparently interrupted her dinner. Otherwise, the room was spacious and comfortable.

Booked one night after driving from Halifax. The room (motel type room) was a decent size, clean and had partial views of the harbour area. Breakfast was buffet style and was OK if a little dry / overcooked. Staff were polite enough maybe even just a little distant. Overall, was a decent enough place to stay.

Cool little house, perfect for a group to stay in. Yes, it is dated and the floors aren't level but it had mostly everything we needed. The surprise is that the bathroom on the main level is shared by the two queen rooms and must be accesed through them. The switches for lights fans etc are a bit of a...

Good location in Cheticamp, a few meters from the water and an easy walk to all the main attractions and restaurants in Cheticamp. We stayed off the main building, in the motel style rooms close to the breakfast hall. The room was decent, clean and spacious with a nice bathroom. There were no locks on the bathroom window though, and...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while with a tour group. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. The rooms were clean, well supplied and comfortable. We throughly enjoyed our stay and the wonderful breakfast. The location was great and we could walk across the street to the marina and other close businesses. This would be a...

Cheticamp is an interesting fishing village in an interesting location and Laurie's to the is the one obvious place for a group of any size to stay in Cheticamp. This is a large seasonal complex of three or more buildings that was built over many years. The quality of the rooms varies. Rm 34 in the Highland building has a...

Stayed at Laurie's on recommendation of friends. Clean, quiet older property (at least the section where we stayed ) but had everything we needed. TV reception wasn't good in the rain, and the wifi was pretty slow. Restaurant on the property has free breakfast buffet, but oddly was only open every other night for dinner. Luckily, there are lots of...

In an establishment like this....all good...EXCEPT the Wireless Internet is NO GOOD. They claim they have high-speed internet......WRONG. With today's availability of high-speed internet from various suppliers, there is definitely something wrong with this place.

Have now stayed in 7 Hotels in Nova Scotia and PEI. Did not anticipate a great Hotel but was disappointed that room was badly in need of a facelift. Hotel still has sheets and blankets, surely it is about time they introduced duvets. Bathroom had chipped enamel wash basins. Everything was very 1970s. Breakfast was OK but no more than...
