A newly renovated and under new ownership Motel and Inn combination located in the middle of an Acadian fishing village on the world famous Cabot Trail. As the Cabot Trail offers unexpected pleasures the Silver Lining Inn and Motel does as well. Hiding in the late 19th century house is a fully renovated Inn with a full kitchen, dining area and a welcoming reception. The Inn features one large suite with a King size bed and full ensuite. Renovations, due to start in the fall of 2018, will enable us to offer more comfortable suites on the Inn's second floor as well. The motel rooms conveniently located behind the Inn have all been newly renovated adding new air conditioning and heat systems. The rooms have new beds, furniture, linens and TVs and also include a fridge and private bath. Irons, ironing boards, hair dryers and games are available at the front desk as well as ice and beverages. We also have free WiFi although we do encourage our guests to unplug and enjoy the experience. :)

We stayed at the Inn. Not at all what I had hoped for, but the place was decent and after a long day of hiking it was only a place of shower and rest. I don’t think I’d go back, but I’m pretty picky when it comes to accommodations so take my review with a grain of salt.

My kids and I stayed there on our way around the Cabot Trail. We stayed in the loft, it was very nicely updated, comfortable beds, a little table and chair set. The host was very nice and helpful. We would definitely go back.

We had booked a motel room but ended up staying in one of the suites. It was very clean, modern and spacious. The breakfast room felt like we were helping ourselves in someone's kitchen, nice and homie. Pharmacy two doors down, RBC next door, nothing too far away. The owners were very nice and helpful with dinner recommendations. Beautiful time of year to visit but we were a week after most of the restaurants and shops seemed to close for the season, so make sure you pack a lunch if hiking the trails.

We stayed one night during the Celtic Colours festival and were delighted with the hospitality. A renovated room, clean as can be, with a comfy bed greeted us. Lizette was so nice, we enjoyed her warmth and personality. Breakfast was continental and all we needed.

I was in room 13, it is up a flight of stairs, but had a water view and was quiet. Bath was new, spacious and clean. Room was a bit of a squeeze but for solo traveler it was fine. Fridge in room but no coffee maker. They need to get a Keurig or something like that. Breakfast was very continental, but still okay. Coffee was not available in the breakfast room til 7:30, so I walked to a nearby gas station at 6:30 am. I believe there was a ramp to the motel rooms, but not to the Inn rooms, not sure about that however.
