At checkin we were greeted warmly and there were baked goods on the counter (always a bonus) Our room was cosy, with an excellent bed, and the Inn itself had an ambiance of a classic older home, even though it was not that old. The staff was attentive, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner, with an amazing view. The breakfast...

Modern and clean with a touch of elegance and grace. Guest rooms are upstairs and downstairs from the main floor; upstairs rooms facing the bay have dramatic views. The beds were very comfortable and the room was simply decorated. The hotel is only 20 years old, but feels much more classic; yet everything is fresh, immaculately maintained and up to...

On the seventh night of our 14 night Canadian Maritime B&B extravaganza, we booked two rooms at the Castlerock Country Inn in Ingonish Ferry. This area of Cape Breton is very sparsely populated with few homes and fewer businesses. The Inn is perched on a knoll overlooking Ingonish Bay and provides spectacular views and photo opportunities. Check-in was smooth except...

Was visiting Northern Cape Breton on business and needed a place to stay in my travels. Fortunately, this place was open (and indeed was the only place open north of Baddeck). The lady that owned the place fell over herself to provide the best service she could for what was essentially me, myself and I. Would recommend giving it a...

We were greeted with 2 different kinds of homemade cookies and promptly checked in. The breakfast buffet was light and healthy. We had a large ground floor room which was very quiet. Never heard a sound from any other guest nor from the kitchen across the hall.

Stayed at Castlerock Inn for a family trip and had the best time. It is in a great location with beautiful ocean views. They served amazing local wines as well as fresh seafood, and the service was outstanding. Room were comfortable and we couldn't have asked for anything more! I highly recommend the Castlerock Inn.

We had a nice stay here, didn't "wow" us, We stayed on the upper level. Room was nice, older style. The water was yellow though from the tap and in the toilet bowl so we didn't drink the water, although the owners never mentioned anything to us about not being able to drink the water. Unfortunately a couple days before...

On our recent bike trip of the Cabot Trail (which we did counter-clockwise - the wrong direction!) we stayed at Castlerock. We were late in booking so we weren't sure what to expect. The Inn was lovely. The staff were so nice. We ended up biking through a rain storm and got completely soaked. The staff allowed us to dry...

We chose this place due to location along Cabot Trail. Its setting is lovely-you can sit on the deck for breakfast or an evening drink and lovely Adirondack chairs out back to watch nature. The staff was always around to be helpful and were very friendly. Rooms reminiscent of many hotels in Wisconsin or Michigan. Knotty pine wall, queen bed...

A quaint Inn overlooking the Atlantic, distant peninsula, mountains and islands. The views from the room, dining area and deck are second to none. Think Maine coast x2. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. All the evening meals we had were great. We stayed for five days doing day trips to most of the towns, natural parks, hikes and beaches...
