We stayed at Cabin #8 at Seascape Coastal Retreat in September. The check-in process was very organized (instructions via e-mail) and covid safe (we didn't have any person to person contact). The cabin was well-equipped and cozy. We had a beautiful view and with the nice weather we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed dinner and wine. The cabins are separate and situated so that we had privacy..couldn't see others from window nor deck. Lots of restaurants near-by and the location of Seascape Coastal was handy to everything in Ingonish. Breakfast was included, we were given options (via email) and it was delivered to door as requested response. Excellent! If we come back to Cape Breton again, I would definitely stay here again (and longer next time!).

Fantastic spot! Peaceful and gorgeous place that exceeded our expectations. Roomy and clean cottage with a very comfortable bed. The biggest plus was starry evenings by the ocean enjoying the hot tub which we made great use of. Thank you Rod and Julie!

We highly recommend this place. Well located, adults-only with limited numbers of people in a cottage. That means a quiet, restful, place. One-bedroom cottages, with small kitchen spaces in the living room. The view looks out onto the Bay in Ingonish. In our case a hot tub on the deck with the same view. A lovely quiet garden space with a few places for 2-3 people to gather made for a pleasant place to work on some writing. With Covid protocols in place, we only saw our hosts outside and briefly but they had sent many emails with lots of information about the area. Checkin and out went seamlessly without contact. When we needed anything they were very responsive on email or phone.

We loved our stay here for two nights September, the cabin is spotlessly clean. Linens are good quality. Quite private, great sunsets. Small BBQ on deck. Mid week many restaurants and shops were closed. Great location to get to hikes, beaches... I had read that the owner delivers a nice appetizer to your room, but sadly not while we were there? No music available in the area while there. We would definitely stay again, best place we stayed on Cape breton in 6 night stay.

This has been the nicest place I’ve stayed on Cape Breton Island so far (traveling counter clockwise). Spotlessly clean, modern, no contact checkin, private, quiet cottages. Just across the street is the Periwinkle Cafe with excellent local cuisine. Highly recommend!

Our hosts were charming, the place was beautiful, and our stay was perfect! This getaway was for our 20th anniversary and it was amazing! You are surrounded by beaches with tall pines all around the property. The cottages are clean and intimate - just right! This is a gorgeous part of Nova Scotia and the hosts, Frank and Lelia, made our stay very special!

Booked solely for the hot tub and view but was pleasantly surprised with the cottage. Bed was comfy with good quality linens. Bathroom spacious and new. Bay window in living room with beautiful view. Kitchenette with everything you’d need. Nice touches like real wine and cocktail glasses, and comfy robes. Check in was flawless. Staff were available if you needed them but also respected privacy/didn’t bother us the entire time. Would absolutely recommend for a romantic getaway.

Wow! Very impressed with the cleanliness, views, beach access, and service (Covid guidelines were very clear through email, with no issues checking in or out). Cannot wait to come back to this beach getaway in the future!

The cottages are just perfect, nice windows looking at the water. A snack is brought to your room daily, which was very good. Very clean and a delicious breakfast daily. Stay here. The location is just perfect.
