I have not yet stayed at the Glenghorm Beach Resort but I am already very happy with their customer service! Kathy noticed that my booking.com reservation had mistakes in it, and called me personally this morning to give me options so that my reservation could be processed. Many businesses would have ignored this third-party booking site issue and I would have been left without a place to stay. Thank you Glenghorm for being proactive about this!
We were there Saturday nite of Thanksgiving. My only thanks was getting out of here. Promised a nice breakfast of cereal, juice, muffins and bagels. Get there at 830 Sunday morning and guess what?? NO MILK!!!! Therefore no cereal for my 3 grand daughters, myself and my daughter. Was I mad!!!! Still think we should be refunded the breakfast charge. Was false advertising is my stance!! The restaurant the nite before were we ate was terrible food. I would RATHER have had a peanut butter sandwich in my room!!! The jets in the whirlpool bath NOT WORKING IN ANY ROOM we were told. My 8 year old grandaughter was so looking forward to it. YET ANOTHER DISSAPOINTMENT. So much for our THANKSGIVING WEEKEND. A refund should be done for us or partial refund for the Hell we endured there. Water was so called being fixed on our arrival. My daughter had to call again. Keep driving is all I can say!~!…
I have never had an experience this bad in all my travels!!! This place is a worn out run down dump!!! Spiders, stinky, mattress as hard as concrete, food mediocre at best. I awoke to the sound of running water and the room above ours was pouring water down the bathroom walls!!! Why did I stay; because it was Thanksgiving weekend and everything else was literally filled up.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is long and a short walk from the hotel and cottages. We stayed in a cottage which had sufficient amenities was very clean but needed a lot of work. A notice in the cabin indicated the resort was recently purchased and the new owners are working to get the facility updated but with co-vid things are going very slow. It is unfortunate that the buildings were left so long without upkeep.
Stayed here at the start of my summer with 3 friends arrivied late was check in by friendly staff which were beyond helpful , we stayed I'n the rooms which were amazing, very clean , with a view you'd never forget for the price and accommodations you cant go wrong spent 2 nights here, come nighttime they have a bar which is great and a beach to sit back and relax would recommend this place to anyone staying in this area
