We spent a day on the Cabot Trail and were in need of a place to stay. This place was central and we had no problem booking a cottage. The cottage is quite dated but clean. The bed was comfortable. Being October , the air was chilled and darkness came quickly. We would have liked to sit outside as the view across the road looked lovely.
Has basic necessities. Could use modernizing. Close to where I needed to be. On scenic Cabot Trail. Proce was reasonable. Ok motel on the trail. Has good wifi and cable. I would stay here again. Close to beaches and great hiking trails.
We visited Cape Breton last week to look at the foliage and go up to Meat Cove. We stayed two nights in a little cabin at the Sea Breeze Cottages and Motel. The place was rustic but clean and comfortable. While there, we ate our breakfasts at the cabin. There is a little store just down the road and we got all the essentials for breakfast there. It turned out to be quite comfortable there. I think we would stay there again.
Seven adults stayed in the 3BR mini home here and we were quite comfortable (just had to be respectful of bathroom usage, as there is only one bathroom). The mini home was nestled in the trees, so it was quite cozy especially among the fall colours. The kitchen was well equipped, and the unit was true to the description and pictures on their website. Decor was dated, but very clean and cozy. The only thing we felt missing was paper towel; granted we didn’t ask at the office if they had any, but perhaps we will bring paper towel or napkins next time. Management was very friendly, and a binder of helpful information was provided. Would definitely recommend and will return if we need to stay in that area again.
My cousin and I had a reservation at the Glenghorm Beach "Resort"--which we passed on...long story (DO NOT GO THERE). Mary at Sea Breeze was a lifesaver! We got a cottage at Sea Breeze instead. Basic, older cottage, immaculately clean, with new sheets, new towels, which were better than at the St. John Hilton. Owners are great, view is great. Thanks, Mary!!
