I've stayed at Peck's maybe 4 times now, and have always found it an okay place to stay. This time I noticed that the place is in need of a little tender loving care. While the rooms were clean, the floors were very dirty, and the place was beginning to smell a bit damp. I think these cabins need a little tenderloving care to bring them back to where they once were. Clean your floors and I'd be glad to stay there again!

Nice little cottage with 2 bedrooms, living room and eating area, small kitchen, and bathroom with tub and shower. Beds were comfortable. The only negative thing was that the walls between the bedrooms are very thin - you can hear everything from the other room! They are basically situated in a parking lot, so not really the place to go if you're looking for peacefulness and privacy. There's also an RV park directly behind the cottages. But perfect if you're using it as a base to explore! They also have a small convenience store on site. Best thing about it was the people who own it! They are very friendly and helpful. The woman who checked us in was very sweet and helpful. In the evening when we got back to the cottage, we couldn't get the TV to work. I went to the office (at the store), and the owner was there. He explained which remotes and buttons to press (we're not very technologically inclined, lol!). I tried again and it still wouldn't work. I went back to the office, and the man said he was going to call his son to come over and have a look. This was about 9pm on a Friday night. The son arrived about 10 minutes later. He worked on trying to get the TV going, and in the end had to get another one from an unoccupied cottage. They apologized profusely for our inconvenience. However, in my opinion they went over and above what I would have expected in a small place at that time of night. I would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend it!.

The cottage we stayed in was clean and roomy with 2 bedrooms a kitchen and a eating area/living room. It was good for us as we were wanting an evening at home and could cook our own supper and relax. There is a small store and laundromat as part of the complex and they both served us well.
It is not situated near the downtown area but it is close to the Louisville Fortress and Louisville Playhouse both of which we were attending.
We tried to book an extra night since we found everything so accommodating but they were full for the next evening.

My husband , daughter , granddaughter & I spent 2 great day's & night's at Peck's Cottages where we stayed while celebrating our family reunion ,the manager " Gary " was friendly & cheerful , the room was clean and comfortable and service was excellent right down to a lovely chat with 2 friendly cleaning ladies, the location was at the end of town but handy to all the places we visited...I would recommend Peck's Cottages to anyone who is looking for a place to stay while in Louisbourg and I have nothing negative to say about our stay , everything was perfection.....

This place was a good price when we had nothing booked for the area. It has no views and the location is not scenic -- therefore I wouldn't stay here for several days on a vacation. The cottage was a good size with the basic necessities.

We really enjoyed the cottage #3 we stayed in for 2 nights. Conveniently located, close to the Fortress of Louisbourg, the lighthouse, and walking trails. The staff at the convenience store were friendly and helpful. The cottage is well-appointed and comfortable. The price is very reasonable given that you have a tv, couch and chair, well-stocked kitchen with a full-size fridge and freezer, dining area, two bedrooms with dressers, and a 3-piece bath. The cottage was very clean, and the housekeeper changed the towels daily. Very quiet and enjoyable. We were glad to have a place to come back to between activities. Be advised, no grocery stores in town, so get groceries in Sydney. Rainbow friendly.

So clean....everywhere in the cottages. Very big. We rented two side by side for four people.
Could of gotten one but the price was so affordable. Two bedrooms in each with a well stocked kitchen. I just couldn't get over how clean it was. The laundromat was such a great bonus for us as we were ready for some clean clothes. Nice big decks to sit on. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a store too for anything you need. I would recommend this for sure.

Recently we went to visit Louisbourg with two grandsons. Pecks cottages proved to be the ideal choice. Our cottage had two bedrooms with a kitchen and bathroom. It was clean, and everything worked well. There was a well-equiped kitchen and good television in the living room. The bathroom was clean and well supplied with towels. It was easy to walk to the restaurants and other attractions in town and just a short drive to the parking area for the Fortress.

I recently stayed for two nights at Pecks' Cottage and overall enjoyed the stay. While the cottage itself was fine, what stood out was the friendly service and the handy laundromat and convenience store on site. It was also extremely hot those few days (and no air conditioning available in the cabin), but the staff managed to find us a fan to help cool down the bedroom. While there are other options in Louisbourg that are probably nicer (and I believe for a comparable price), I did enjoy the service and accessibility of Peck's Cottage. It's a good option for a stay in the area.

We had our own private cottage that we parked next to. There were two bedrooms, a living room and dining area and a full kitchen. The hotel was close to the fortress and the lighthouse, both were why we were there. Also it was close to restaurants.
