It was a wonderful accomodation with very friendly hosts and staff. The rooms are very spacious and cosy. Also a very good restaurant with seaview and a delicious food. Even a short-term extension was not a problem. Everything was easy-peasy (originally by Ann Marie)! Thanks a lot and best regards Highly recommended!

We loved this place. David is a phenomenal chef - try his Blueberry French Toast! All the staff were helpful and kind. The grounds well kept. A beach just steps away. The room was delightful and cozy.

Wonderful, amazing place! The scenery is unbelievably gorgeous. The rooms were clean. The food isn’t included with the rooms, but it was absolutely delicious! 10/10 would definitely recommend this place, even if it’s a little out of your way.

Prepare yourself for the most delicious and dreamy food! We had 3 meals here and they were all ridiculously good! Our first night my husband had the filet mignon with a layered potato and sweet potato side, I had both the lobster croquettes and the scallops and they were to die for. The vegetables served with them were fresh and flavourful. Dessert was creme brulee and we also had apple crumble, both were amazing. The second night was chicken with cranberry and a perfectly cooked sole. Everything was fantastic. Our room, the Loft, was okay, comfy bed, very clean and a nice jacuzzi tub with a view from a window that's not overly large. This place is very nice, but not easy to find, the sign into Larrys River is good, but the tiny one on the side of a shed on wharf road is easy to miss and cell service and wife at the Inn are both a bit spotty so be prepared. Great place to go and unplug, bring books and drop offline for a few days, totally worth it!

We booked this late, and we’re delighted with our good fortune! The owner stayed up for us to check in a downpour and was laid back and hospitable as he showed us to our room to settle in. Very cozy bed and a nice, clean room with sea views — we slept like babies! The restaurant features Acadian cuisine and we’re sorry to have missed dinner. Breakfast was excellent with great coffee (unlike what we have had in other parts of NS), and heart fare. The owners and staff were the outstanding, always attentive to our interests and needs — so very kind. We enjoyed learning about the spectacular land, the power of the ocean, and the blissful serenity. They have a library for researching the flora and fauna of this lovely inn on the sea. This would be a great place to work on a novel or paint the land and sea.

What a hidden gem. Definitely off the beaten path but a beautiful place for quiet time, incredible views and delicious food. Gracious hosts - cook would check to make sure the food was cooked to our liking. Beautiful views right from our room. Very large room on main floor, super clean room. Next time will stay longer!

Definitely one of the highlights of our road trip up the eastern shore from Halifax (to Stanfest) and into Cape Breton. Fabulous location immersed in history, rugged scenery, great hiking at Tor Bay, nice accommodations , friendly hosts and staff, gourmet food. What more could you ask for? Well maybe a couple of interesting resident dogs—yes, they’re included as well!

We only stayed for one night as a stopover. We wished we had stayed for longer. Our room had a great view of the ocean. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely surroundings with pleasant walks available. The owners were very friendly and suggested some excellent places to visit on our tour of Cape Breton. Food was home cooked and prepared by the owner. The breakfast and dinner were really well prepared and tasty. We will definitely book this again if in the area but for more nights!
