I got stuck in a storm and I lucky found this gem of the place! It is run by the sweetest lady named Suzi! She is the best host ever. She is so welcoming and helpful. Words can not describe how grateful I am to have stayed there and I am super grateful to Suzi for being so welcoming and helpful! Thanks again Suzi! ~Zachary
The location was perfect, the building was beautiful, and our room was cozy. We enjoyed our chats with the owner, as well as wandering around town. Sitting out on the balcony, sipping morning coffee (after having a hot and delicious breakfast), was the right way to start the day. We will return.
So many many reasons to stay in this amazing Inn! First Suzi, the fabulous owner treats you like a friend coming to stay. She offers advice on where to go and is always very friendly and helpful. The Inn itself is so beautiful. Historic building in great condition. Very clean, lovely decorated and feels like my grandmother's house. Warm and welcoming! And you need to know that Suzi is an out of this world Chef and her breakfasts are next level! I have stayed here many times now and it is always something different and delightful! A must stay if you are in the South Shore. You will NOT be disappointed!!
Arrived at supper time. No one in the house-just a note telling me which room was mine. Put my suitcase in the room but was unable to look the door with the key so left it unlocked and went out for supper. Arrived back about 2 hours later- still no one around. Went to my room and stayed there until morning. I'm an early riser- read that breakfast was at 8:30 am but you could go down for a coffee at 7:30 am and bring it to your room. Went down at 7:30 am - a woman (owner) came out of a room - barefoot and without a mask. I asked for a coffee - I was told where the keirug machine was and the directions were beside the machine. I did that and swiped my visa for - $171 - I Thought Im not waiting for breakfast and I made my escape.
My husband and I just spent 2 nights at “The Meck”. This was our first time and will not be our last. It exceeded our expectations in all respects. The style is beautiful and interesting. We had the Winters Suite which was quite large and very comfortable. The bathroom was small but charming and had everything we needed with great lighting and lots of mirrors. Suzi is a great host - friendly, down to earth, easy going. We didn’t get to experience her famous breakfast but we will next time. We can’t wait for our next stay at The Meck!
