We had a really great stay at the Old Lantern Inn. Des and Adriana were fantastic hosts and we really enjoyed chatting to them and getting their recommendations for the area. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a lovely outside seating area within the vineyard. Breakfast was delicious with a great range of freshly cooked options. We really enjoyed exploring Grand Pre and Wolfville, including a lovely visit to Le Caveau restaurant next door.

Everything about the Olde Lantern Inn is 5 stars. My wife and I stay here with friends every year when we come visit the Wolfville region and its fabulous wineries, and we are always blown away by Desmond and Adriana's hospitality and attention to detail. Just read all of the other 5-star reviews and you will get a taste of what you are missing ;-)

We spent three nights at the Olde Lantern Inn and Vineyard. Grand Pre is a wonderful town to find lodging, close to beautiful hikes, amazing natural beauty, incredible sunsets, and easy to navigate. The Olde Lantern Inn and Vineyard was an amazing experience thanks to the stewardship of Adriana and Desmond. The place was spotless-they take pride in their sanitary cleaning, especially for those Covid-averse. The inn itself is beautifully apportioned, comfortable, and well-located. Breakfast was delicious with their famous french toast, or brioche eggs Benedict, or omelette, always served with lovely fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and warmth. The inn was charming. The sunsets and the vistas at the walkable UNESCO heritage site were outstanding. Right outside, you can walk lovely vineyards, gaze at fresh flowers, or enjoy an evening stroll as they light lanterns every night. This is a do not miss place. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough

We have been coming to Grand Pre pretty much every year, except for the covid years. This year we stayed at the Olde Lantern for the first time, and can't say enough good things about it. Our room was comfortable and cozy with views of the nearby vineyards, a complimentary bottle of wine (for staying for more than one night), and all appointments needed. At breakfast, the French toast was the best I've ever had, coffee & orange juice & bacon tasty & ample. Desmond and Adriana are great hosts. If you are not familiar with Grand Pre, must-dos include Le Caveau restaurant, a walk through the vineyards away; and a short walk in the other direction leads you to the spectacular UNESCO Landscape overlook, with the hundreds of acres of farmland reclaimed by the Acadians and still maintained, and a peek-a-boo view & longer walk to the Grand Pre Historic Site which recreates and commemorates the Acadians and the first large-scale Expulsion in the 1700s. A short drive away (or longer walk along the Great Trail) is the town of Wolfville with its many restaurants, taverns, and cultural sites.

We had a wonderful stay with Desmond and Adriana. They were perfect hosts and breakfast was phenomenal! Since it rained most of the weekend, we used their front room for Happy Hour instead of the outside patio with a fire pit. It was a perfect gathering place for our group of six. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and we all slept well. We walked through the vineyard to the Grand Pre restaurant for dinner. The trail was lit with lanterns to add to the charm of this place. Some of the ladies walked to the UNESCO look off. The Olde Lantern Inn offered the perfect getaway weekend for our group of ladies.

My wife and I stayed with Desmond and Adrianna for 1 night. Our room was super clean and comfortable and offered our own pergola for evening wine sips while watching the sun set over the vineyard. The walk to Grand Pre was a perfect to dinner and wine tastings and the UNESCO look off was the ideal post dinner walk. The Olde Lantern Inn offers the perfect getaway accommodations. Looking forward to our next visit! David & Amanda

This was a return visit to The Old Lantern Inn. It does not disappoint from the warm welcome to the relaxing and comfortably appointed rooms. We plan to return in the summer again. The hosts are exceptionally charming and genuine. My partner, who is a retired professional chef , praised the delicious breakfast and wonderful coffee blend which is served! The Inn is located centrally to numerous vineyards and there are many restaurants nearby to suit all tastes. The Old Lantern Inn will be our “ go to “ in the Wolfville / Grand Pre area

What a wonderful place this is! Nestled in the vineyards and a short, scenic stroll to Grand Pre vineyard and restaurant (which is lit with candlelit lanterns at night!), the Olde Lantern Inn is charming from top to bottom. We stayed in the 'In the Vineyard' room, which was spacious and comfortable, with triple-aspect windows that are elevated - so you are just over the vines. It's lovely. The jet tub in the bathroom was an unexpected treat. Desmond and Adriana are superb hosts, warm and friendly and with fascinating experiences to share. And the breakfast - wow! I couldn't decide between the sweet or savory - and so Adriana made me both! And for my fussy partner, she went out and got some of his favorite veggies to make a benny on our second day. Throw in access to walk the vineyards (a short stroll through which leads to the new Grand Pre viewpoint) and a 3 minute drive to the wonders of Wolfville and the surrounding area and you have the perfect weekend away. Highly, highly recommended.

This Inn and the property is absolutely beautiful & filled with lots of country charm. For convenience the Inn is connected by a path with Grand Pre Winery & Le Caveau Restaurant. A row of candle lit lanterns were lit for our return after dark. Breakfast was so delicious. Our hosts Adrianne & Desmond are so welcoming and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed listening about their life journey and how they came to settle in the Valley of Wolfville. Thank you for a memorable stay !
