From the minute you walk through the door into this gracious, cozy, old world dwelling to the moment you must leave, you are made to feel respectfully welcome by Des and Adri. We have returned several times to experience the peace of beautifully appointed clean rooms overlooking the vineyards and Cape Blomidon, and to indulge in freshly cooked to order breakfasts of fresh fruit and local offerings. Lots to see and do in the area, but a stay at Olde Lantern is a vacation in itself.

This is truly an amazing spot with an ideal location for any type of visit. Sitting directly adjacent to Grand Pre Vineyards and UNESCO World Heritage Site, this incredibly-homey Inn was perfect for our weekend getaway to the Annapolis Valley. Owners Desmond and Adriana were very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the smallest of the four rooms, "L'Acadie Blanc", but had plenty of room for the two of us with a very comfortable bed. In the morning, we were served a delicious eggs benny with smoked salmon and ham, as well as fresh berries. All in all, it was truly a wonderful experience here and will definitely be planning on returning to this lovely B&B soon! :)

Had a great visit this weekend - loved staying with Desmond and Adriana - my hubby and I loved the room with little fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Private outdoor garden was lovely. We had dinner at le Caveau next door. Desmond and Adrianna have a candlelight lantern path through the vineyard to the restaurant - really lovely. Breakfast was really good. Beat breakfast we’ve had in a while! We will be back, plan to make it an annual visit!

Desmond and Adriana are wonderful hosts with amazing attention to detail. The rooms, food and location are outstanding. No better place to enjoy the local wineries and the Acadian cultural heritage of the Grand Pre / Wolfville region. Have dinner at the Caveau restaurant next door and enjoy an enchanting walk along a candle-lit path to get there.

This is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed birthday glass of wine on the deck. Our surroundings were wonderful, with great vistas, easy strolls to historic sights and attractive gardens. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and meticulously clean (I'd like to move in!!). As part of the "silver set", being of a certain age, we felt very comfortable in this quiet, peaceful home. We were served colourful and delicious breakfasts by very gracious hosts Desmond and Adriana. The Old Lantern is close to Wolfville, nearby wineries, parks and interpretive centres.
