Just returned from Annapolis Royal having stayed at the Seafaring Maiden, a beautiful heritage home. We came to visit our daughter and future son in law whom we haven’t seen in almost 2 years due to covid. Ann Marie & Bill graciously invited our daughter for breakfast with us and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our first meal together in a long time. (Thank You for that). Breakfast every morning was delicious, a perfect start to our day, and Bill was quick to fill my coffee every morning which was much appreciated. We stayed in the Bessie a with a king bed which was very comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and look forward to many more visits. I would highly recommend this B&B if you are in the area. Anne Marie and Bill are wonderful hosts. The house and location are spectacular. To have the lovely space across the road and on the river for a fire on an early September evening was amazing. We were in the Bessie room and it’s wonderful. So quiet at night. Breakfast…yummy. All homemade, fresh, flavourful and unique. Personally, there will be no other place to stay for us than here. Hosts are super knowledgeable about the area. Had menus and contacts at most restaurants and were prepared to make reservations for us too! An amazing stay.

This delightful old family home in Granville Ferry (just around the corner from Annapolis Royal) offers terrific views of the Annapolis River, comfortable rooms, and freshly cooked breakfasts included in the rental. The owners, Bill and Ann Marie Monk, are welcoming and engaging and Ann Marie prepared the best cheese soufflé and biscuits that I have every eaten. I could not recommend A Seafaring Maiden any more highly for those who want to relax and explore this charming area of the Annapolis Valley.

We have stayed in Annapolis Royal a few times but this was by far the best experience we have had. The couple who runs the place is incredible. Breakfast was above and beyond anything we could have hoped for and the view, the seating area across the street by the water and the rooms were unbeatable. If you are looking for a place to stay in and around Annapolis Royal look no further you will love it guaranteed.

The COVID pandemic has given us an opportunity to become reacquainted with parts of our beautiful province that we have not experienced for many years. We are so delighted that we chose to stay at A Seafaring Maiden B&B during our three-night stay in the Annapolis Royal area. The heritage property is immaculate inside and out and somewhat like stepping through a time portal. We enjoyed the sitting room as well as the gazebo across the road with its spectacular view of the Annapolis River and the town of Annapolis Royal. The breakfasts were all wonderful and filling. Our hosts, Anne Marie and Bill were very knowledgeable and proactively helped us with restaurant reservations during a long weekend when availability could have been an issue. We very much enjoyed chatting with both of them. Highly recommended!

3 friends and I spent a chuck of Covid winter 2021 trekking the 110 kilometre Harvest Moon Trail which runs the length of the Annapolis Valley from Grand Pre to Annapolis Royal in weekly instalments. We completed the track on Sunday the 28 and decided to stay in the area to celebrate our success. The Seafaring Maiden was not only open but dog friendly so it got our business, happily. What a find. We were the only guests that night so it felt like home. There was a lovely fire in the living room and we shared stories and champagne while a storm raged outside. It was just glorious. And then in the morning Bill prepared a delicious breakfast.

A beautiful, well cared for Heritage home overlooking the historic Annapolis Basin and Annapolis Royal. Our hosts were gracious, friendly and a most helpful source of local information and the breakfast served each morning was a true treat to start the day. The reading room was warmed by the heat of a well-stoked wood stove and was the perfect place to spend a February evening. COVID-19 health protocols were in place during our stay to further ensure the comfort and well-being of all. We stayed for two nights during our visit and highly recommend everything about the Seafaring Maiden Bed and Breakfast!

Upon arriving at the Seafaring Maiden we received a warm welcoming at the door. Once inside, historic architecture and antiques were a delight to our eyes. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed 2 nights, breakfast was delicious and we were surprised that on the second morning we had a changed menu. A picturesque view across the street can be experienced from the veranda or the well furnished gazebo near the water. Anne Marie and Bill treated us like friends and respected our needs. So if your looking for a great place, be it for private personal time, friendly chats or information on the area, Seafaring Maiden is the place to stay.

Our last minute reservation turned into our best ever b&b experience. From the decor’s historic seafaring theme to the wonderful breakfast, Anne Marie & Bill’s attention to detail is over the top. Even though social distancing restrictions were in place, a relaxed atmosphere was still achieved. It really was everything we hoped for, and we highly recommend you experience it for yourself.
