This is my second time staying at the Hillcrest and I have no complaints. The property is full of charm and the staff are wonderful. The inn is located close to where I needed to be and is a short drive to Mabou and Inverness. If you need a place to stay at the beginning or end of a Cabot Trail adventure this is the place for you!

My friend and I had the best time at Hillcrest Hall! Even though we only stayed for one night we instantly felt at home thanks to a warm and sweet welcome. The place is perfectly located, with only a minute-walk to the beach and the opportunity to go out for dinner by foot. The room was super clean and big enough for two girls to throw around their stuff without getting lack of space. Last but not least we had the most amazing breakfast after a great and peaceful night, with homemade muffins, scones and other pastries, hard boiled eggs, waffles, toast, fresh fruit and some cereal choices! Overall, it was an awesome stay and I can only recommend the place to anyone who would like to spend some time in an idyllic and calm area!!

Grand old building with nice restoration, attractive rooms that are very clean. Owners/managers friendly without being intrusive and provide good breakfast that goes a bit beyond the basics (hardboiled eggs, cheese, fruit, cereals, yogurts, pastries, toast, etc). We stayed here to be able to ride the Ceilidh Rail Trail - since Port Hood is at about mid-way, we went south one day (spectacular coastal ride) and north the next (lovely river/forest/farms). Be prepared to climb stairs to your room!

Thank you to everyone at Hillcrest Hall for being so accommodating, friendly, and helpful. A warm welcome, laundry, amazing room with a view for 4 of us, and breakfast with oatcakes. Cant wait to return to share more laughs and kindness, and a ceilidh in your basement. AND, Thank you for forwarding our forgotten items.
