The Balmoral Motel is an older well kept Motel. It is clean the room spacious. They offer free world wide calling! Towels are thick. They do not have hair dryers; I didn't ask I carry my own when I drive. It has a beautiful window view. I was traveling from Cape Breton to New Brunswick as the last of hurricane... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit dated, with a nice view out the back of the river. No fridge unfortunately but they offer free ice so that's great. Good price on the weekdays ($99/2 ppl in a double room). My biggest complaint is the breakfast was terrible. Good coffee and orange juice but the toast was soggy and the... More

In the area for business - motel is very clean and welcoming, and conveniently located across the street from a grocery and liquor store. WiFi and free hot breakfast included. Breakfast area has incredible view of river. Guest laundry (including detergent!) also in motel lobby and free for guest use. Great news for our crew that has been working in... More

Stayed here for an equestrian event we were attending in the area. The motel is clean but very dated. Also, there were some ants in our room. Couldn't have the breakfast they offer as it only runs from 7:30-8:30am and we had to leave earlier than that. There was nowhere to leave the key when we left as there is... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a longer road trip to save some money. The rooms don't have AC so it was very stuffy in our room and the fan would not stay turned on. No refrigerator or coffee maker in the room. Outdated TV with very fuzzy reception. The bed was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast... More

A small town with not a lot of accommodation so this motel was it. It offered clean sheets but had a tired look. There was no fridge and no air conditioner, other than two open windows, one with a screen that doesn't fit tight. There was a breakfast offered but the lobby had a very old smell and not appropriate... More

I was reading by the window, while the rain spread gloom into the room--then a hummingbird hovered next to me, watching me for a long time. I brightened up and looked around to enjoy the cozy room and recall the very nice served breakfast I had just had. This motel was good value, and the staff was very helpful. I'm... More

“There is a small breeze-way between rooms 10 and 11 so, for the traveler looking for a bit more quiet, one of these rooms would have a wall that is not shared. Also, if traveling solo, a room with 1 bed offers a much more spacious environment with a futon and small table to give the room a more apartment feel, which is appreciated when trying to relax. If it`s an extremely hot summer season, you may want to look for a motel with air conditioning, The Balmoral does have a modern floor fan that circulates the air but, I imagine, on really humid days it could get quite stuffy so persons traveling with pets or families may need to keep this in mind when making their motel selections.”
