This was a fun place to stay, as every room is a train car. Most of them are cabooses. My wife and I reserved the last room available on the night we stayed, a transfer car, which is basically a caboose that was used exclusively in a rail yard, attached to cars that are being moved around the yard. It...

We spent our honeymoon here and it was worth every penny. The meal in the dining car was beyond great. The dining car is a quaint, relaxed atmosphere with 5 star dining experience. The caboose was set up beautifully for our romantic night. The lace umbrella on the bed and the wine glasses gave it that extra touch. The next morning...

Visiting friends in Tatamagouche, we had the opportunity to stay in one of the boxcars for a weekend. We had a gift certificate for a caboose, but unfortunately the Inn made a mistake in our reservation that I only caught at the last moment. It took several emails to untangle, but eventually it was. The Inn has several old rail...

We were excited to stay in a train car, we were a little disappointed with the train car accommodation that we had. We have stayed in a train car at Mossleigh Alberta and loved it. The Tatamagouche train station is very nice the property is lovely and the dining car was very good, the train car needed a little attention....

Stayed in the caboose 8 which is a train wagon fitted with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen corner and living room. it even sports an alcove reachable by ladder with an extra 2 sleeping spots. Great stay. We also tried the breakfast in the station and dinner in the train. Both also recommended!

So happy to have found this little gem of a restaurant. The lobster mac 'n' cheese was amazing. Well worth a visit for the quality of the dining and if you are interested in trains then you will enjoy the experience of dining in one of the carriages.

We were sad to leave this morning having spent 2 nights here. Our carriage was well equiped even having a small refrigerator for drinks. Breakfast they say should be the main meal of the day. I had blueberry pancakes with bacon fruit and maple syrup. Fantastic. We had to go for a long walk along the route of the old...

I stayed here when I attended the Oktoberfest, just to make it convenient as it is walking distance to the arena. I did not sleep in an actual train, because you have to book well in advance! The owners were very accommodating, friendly and helpful informing us of nearby attractions. Even though we did not have a "Train Room" soto...

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of staying at the Train Station Inn. Caboose #5, though it did have a musty smell upon entering (after all it was built in 1911), was totally charming and with so much more character and history than what one would find at your regular run of the mill motel or inn. We ate lunch and...

This is indeed a unique and, at first glance, charming accommodation. Although it advertises as a 'Boutique' style inn, it is lacking in many ways. We stayed in Caboose 5 and it had a musty smell. The reading nook and small dining table are accessed via a small ladder that might be difficult for some people to use. The linens...
