This boutique inn is just fabulous! From the moment you walk through the lobby and greeted by a warm and friendly staff member - it just gets better and better. The rooms are stunning and beyond clean. I can’t find one thing to say that disappointed us. Keep up the quality of care and service and you will have repeat guests. Count us in! So many hotels we visit don’t pay attention to detail - this is not one of them. Amazing. Thank you.
We had a lovely room the Officers Suite would definitely return. We felt safe in the room everything was spotless. We had a table booked for the Ancaster Mill which was literally around the corner so we walked directly to the restaurant.
We stayed in the officer’s suite for one night for our anniversary. The location is perfect, the room was spotless, and our stay was wonderful. Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed the character and elegance of this hotel. Our only slight disappointment was the breakfast, which considering the restrictions and limitations of covid, was still well done and delivered right to our door. Thank you for a great experience! We’ll be back!
In the heart of Ancaster, this hotel is absolutely gorgeous, room was super clean and beautiful. Comfy bed, giant shower, zero regrets, it's worth every penny. Will definitely stay there again. One of the highlights was the husky in the lobby.
Excellent room with all the best amenities. Due to the Covid restrictions the restaurant was closed however the Ancaster Mill restaurant is only a 10 minute walk. I am sure I will return when the occasion requires a visit to Ancaster. The town has many restored historical buildings.
We loved the stay at the Barracks in . We were looking for a dog friendly hotel as we were taking a mini hiking vacation in the Dundas Valley conservation area. They put us in their dog friendly room which was luxurious. The staff is lovely, including the resident pupper who greeted us at the front desk with a warm sniff and tail wag. Close to Ancaster pubs and restaurants, the Barracks Inn is also within walking and biking distance to the incredible waterfall-laden trails of the Dundas Valley conservation area. Highly recommend.
Beautiful Inn, wish we did not go in the midst of COVID as we would have liked to enjoy the Inn more. The Inn was very clean. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast left something to be desired but that was due to COVID.
A family member was in a hospital near Ancaster and rather than commute home more than an hour each day I stayed at the Barracks. I wasn’t expecting it to be anything more than a place to hang my hat so I was pleasantly surprised to find its relaxing atmosphere to be just what I needed. I’d been missing travel, particularly weekend getaways and this fit the bill nicely. The room was spacious and very clean. I didn’t worry at all about the Covid thing! There are good restaurants nearby. I must say though I do wish the Barracks had a restaurant. I understand they do B&B under normal circumstances and maybe that would be sufficient? Anyway it was a nice stay and I recommend it.
The surroundings are classy and cosy. The check in and check out could not be easier. We are looking forward to our next stay when hopefully the dining room will be available for us to enjoy a nice breakfast.
Out stay was very comfortable, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean, the check in process was smooth and easy, and the room was spacious and very aesthetically pleasing. Their modifications to suit the COVID-19 pandemic made us feel very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again! Plus the chocolate croissant in the breakfast option was delicious!!
