We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at MacNamara House over the Thanksgiving weekend. Our hosts, Mary Anne and Andy, did their utmost to make us feel welcome and comfortable. How many places can you say after only a day, that you feel so at home you come down in your « jammies » for breakfast? Breakfasts were a real treat! The house itself is charming, authentic, and well-located downtown. We highly recommend staying at MacNamara House! We will definitely go back! It was the perfect place to meet up with family. We used up 3 of the 4 guest rooms and shared a bathroom. Our hosts currently only accept one family bubble at a time. Thanks so much again, Mary Anne and Andy! We really enjoyed our time spent with you and wished we could have stayed longer. Debra and Douglas
My 3 day stay at the MacNamara House was the highlight of a visit to Renfrew County. The house is a haven of calm, comfort, cleanliness and beauty. I was in the Clock Tower room which was spacious and pretty. The bedding was luxurious. The breakfasts were healthy, delicious and generous. The house is right on the Madawaska river and is a one minute walk to the quaint downtown of Arnprior. The hosts Mary Anne and Andy are gracious and welcoming and very knowledgable about the history of the area. They made me feel at home.
We had a very pleasant overnight stay at MacNamara House in mid April. Mary Anne and Andy are welcoming hosts and we enjoyed hearing about the renovation of the house. The Clock Tower Room is attractive and comfortable. We lingered over a good breakfast with a wide ranging conversation. Kim & James
I have stayed at Macnamara House a few times now and each visit is wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable and the hosts kind, considerate and welcoming. The location is idyllic, and very convenient. I would highly recommend staying in this lovely home.
Mary Anne and Andy warmly welcomed my partner, my friends and I on Saturday, April 13th 2019. We were in Arnprior for an evening at The 2 Grands Piano Bar and Steakhouse. The house is absolutely striking! My partner and I stayed in the Ginko room. You can tell the bedding and sheets have been selected with much care. It was like sleeping on a cloud. So very comfortable. The space is sizeable and airy. Perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The B&B is spotless and decorated with taste respecting the Victorian charm and character. Mary Anne’s art is on display in every room and it is quite appeasing. It was a real pleasure to have a glass of wine with the owners. The are interesting and inspiring people. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I highly recommend MacNamara House to anyone who is looking for a home away from home.…
This was our first experience in Arnprior Ontario (a very quaint town) and it was an excellent one. Mary Anne made us feel very welcome and even our Toddler had a great time. The House is spacious and has a lovely yard and garden. Downtown is right outside the door and lots of amenities are easily walkable (trails etc). The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is shared, but it is a very generous size. The property was very clean and quiet. We will definitely come back and would recommend this B&B.
