Very clean room that appeared to be freshly redecorated, with fridge, microwave, hair dryer, large TV. Due to traffic I was arriving VERY late and the owner was very helpful in ensuring I'd be able to get into my room when I arrived. Yes it's an older motel but don't let that put you off, it was immaculate.

We’ve been stopping by Country Squire for years, westbound from New Hampshire. Always clean, always affordable. No frills necessary, quiet rooms, plenty of restaurants and shopping for what you need. Sam and his wife are attentive, never intrusive. They attend to building maintenance as well as the grounds. You can sit outside the room, chat with other guests as you wish. Never a disappointment. We’ll be back for sure again.

Myself and two friends had just spent the day riding motorcycles through the backroad trails in Quebec and decided to book a night in the Country Squire Motel in Arnprior after seeing some good reviews about it. We had asked if we could get a cot in the room for the third person and we’re told there was a sofa bed in the room already. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the unique room layout and the sofa bed already made up for us. Sam the proprietor was extremely helpful with everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Country Squire Motel, it was clean, comfortable, well priced and Sam was a fantastic host. Next time I’m passing through Arnprior I will definitely stay here again!

When I read the reviews on Google I almost choked.... You should already know that the photos are dated, because as part of a group we had rooms both on the ground floor and 'on the 1st floor & in all motel buildings. We all felt the same, dirty, old, bad smells & hairs lying around in the shower or the bed. Nothing is clean in the rooms, I even thought I was going to bring back bed fleas as a souvenir, thank you my essential oils. I wanted to make myself some tea, a fatal error, I always do a first try to be sure that the machine is clean. A yellow juice with a smell of old rotten cheese came out of the machine, the smell remained all night... Fortunately, yes, there are shops opposite to buy food and drink because even the breakfast is pitiful. Let's not talk about the people who "stay" in this motel, in the evening it is better to stay in your room and not go outside. It's been a long time since I've come across such a dirty & unsanitary motel/hotel, it's a shame to house people inside!

Do yourself a favour and Skip this Hole! I’d rather sleep in my car! We were judged before walking through the door. The tone and attitude we were spoken to in was disgusting. I’m surprised this business is still open.
You should be ashamed to call yourself business owners the way you treat people walking in off the street! I give ZERO stars!

Found the motel on a CAA listing. We were looking for a place without stairs to climb. We just needed a room for the night while making a quick trip north. It is located close to the highway, but there was no noise from the highway. No breakfast was offered, but there are fast food restaurants very close by as well as a large truck service area just across the highway which served excellent meals. The large lawn in front would be nice for children and as a place to sit out. The bed was confortable, but there was no blanket and the large very heavy comforter kept sliding on the floor.

The motel and property are old but the owners have the building and outside common areas in perfect shape. The old sign is the only thing that looks really worn. The owners have placed a gazebo out front for guest use as well as a couple of bbq's. There are plenty of benches and chairs outside of the rooms. The owner is extremely pleasant. My room was spotless. The bed and sheets appear to be new. The bathroom was clean. Some of the furnishings could be upgraded but they did the job. Good internet signal and lots of tv channels. Good location right off the highway with enty if shopping within a short walking distance. I enjoyed my stay and a highly recommend this motel.

I don't typically stay at roadside motels, but what can I say.. this was a 5 star experience. The owner is incredibly polite and helpful. woke up in the middle of the night just to help us out. The motel is very well maintained and very clean. the room is not big but very comfortable, and it has everything you need... microwave, coffee maker etc. I was very surprised how well maintained the place is. Also the value is fantastic. Nothing but great things to say about this place. Thank you for helping us out in the middle of the night.

Called a month earlier to make a booking for a funeral in town. Said I would be arriving at 12:30 to 1:00am and asked if that would work. Sam said no problem. Told him my Grandmother use to own this hotel and would be neat to stay there again. Called at 6:30pm the day of arrival and again said I would be arriving between 12:30 to 1 from an 11 hour drive. Arrived at 12:23 and totally ghosted. No answer to the call button and no phone answer either. A key was suppose to be left in the mailbox. Very disappointing after driving 11 hours. Very hard to book something online at that hour as sites won’t let you book.

As a retired couple we were happily surprised by the low price. The owner/operator was very friendly and lives on the premises with his young wife and two children. The room was simple, a very traditional highway motel room. It was very clean which pleased my wife. We were so pleased we left a 12.5% tip when we checked out.
