WE have been there at the end of August, with five other friends.
It is a very comfortable, clean and relaxing property with a more than affordable price for student and a lot of facilities.
From the bicycles in the balcony to the grills and the vast backyard, everything provided to you to have a very pleasant and memorable time there and your hosts, a local family, are ready to provide you with the best quality of services.

A 3-bedroom inn tucked away on 52 acres in Bayfield, Ontario. Our family rented the 3 bedrooms and had the run of the inn. Even if you had to share the inn with other families wou would not feel crowded. The living room featured wonderfully soft furniture and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace ( and a fully stocked woodbox) that we used to full advantage. There are bicycles supplied if you get the urge to ride to Bayfield's world-class restaurants. The rooms themselves are beautifully furnished with state of the art beds. As with all hotels, inns or B&Bs, they are usually a reflection of the owners or managers. You will have to look long and hard to find a nicer family to look after you during your stay. Diana, her husband and the two adorable children were a bonus during our stay. I would give the Inn a ten out of ten and look forward to returning visits.

The experience we had at Willow Creek Lodge is one that has forever turned us away from using certain vacation apps. We should have paid better attention to the RED FLAGS in their posting. None the less, this played as a big lesson for us to thoroughly review all the fine print moving forward, as well as to listen to our intuition sooner, to hopefully lessen the loss.

Upon arrival at Diana's cottage, the light in my grandson's face dimmed. Her family home is located directly next to this building, and on the day we got there, she was having her roof redone, so we were front and center from the shingles being thrown and the banging of the hammer. The garage building clearly had been through a fire, giving the entire property a very run down and dilapidated feeling. With the close proximity of these buildings and the highway directly out front, there was ZERO SENSE OF PRIVACY and LOTS OF NOISE POLLUTION.

As soon as you enter the front door, we were hit with a VERY DAMP MOLD LIKE SMELL that covered the entire place, forcing you to feel like you have to shallow breathe. My initial reaction was shock, as the view from inside, DOES NOT MATCH THE IMAGES SHOWN HERE . It is clear to us that this host is using very OUTDATED PHOTOS as all the furniture, the color of the walls and porch look completely different in real life. Everything has DRAMATICALLY DETERIORATED and CLEANLINESS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY DECLINED from when these were originally taken.

We were faced with a really tough decision upon arrival, asking ourselves, "Could we really stay here for this next week, given the fact that we don't even feel comfortable breathing or sitting on any of the furniture?" Because we had an 8 year old with us and the weather in Bayfield wasn't looking promising that week, we made the decision to leave that same day and not risk spending a night in the mold.

Diana was NOT OPEN TO NEGOTIATE any type of refund or return and stood firm in her notion that we would have to work with the vacation app on settling this. Ultimately, we lost a lot of money for a location that we did not spend one evening in and hope our review paints an honest picture of what to expect from Willow Creek Lodge. This placed is better suited for short term sublet than it is for a vacation destination.

Great bedroom and a wonderful main living room with fireplace + a kitchen. Super front verandah. We will be back!! We stayed 6 nights. Close to all the great restaurants in Bayfield. We used the BBQ one night and cooked dinner. Close to marina for sailing our boat.
