The inn is newly renovated. We stayed in room 10 which had no closet or a place to hang your clothes other than 3 hooks. It was fine for us, but some may not like that. The tub was huge and the king size bed was divine. Breakfast is included and is made to order. The Eggs Benedict was yummy and hubby loved the eggs, bacon and home fries option. I am a coffee snob and I really enjoyed their coffee. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was cleaned each day while we were at breakfast. The inn is on the main street and near all the stores. It is short walk from Pioneer Park where the sunset over Lake Huron is spectacular. This is our second stay at the Inn and will definitely be back.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Inn. During our renovation our goal was to create the best sleep product possible, using top quality beds, Frette Italian linen sheets and high quality pillows and duvets sourced and made in Canada, we feel we have provided the best products possible, and are glad you enjoyed your sleep here. The original Inn, which possesses a unique charm and authenticity, does have it's quirky character, however, and given the original layout, closets can be quite a challenge to fit in. We have placed armoires in many of the rooms that would allow for the space, and in other rooms we have tried to provide at least some hooks for hanging clothing on. As we continually try to improve our product, we will be looking at alternatives for clothing storage, and hope to be able to provide some different options going forward. We hope to welcome you back to the Inn very soon!

We've been there several times and we always stay in the Select Suites 'cause we bring out dog. It's time for some renos, though. It's an awful lot to charge people for a room that isn't well lit, tired looking furniture, and old bathrooms. If we're going to spend 1,000 dollars for two nights (included a dinner and 2 breakfasts) we'll probably look elsewhere next time. Sad, though, 'cause we always enjoyed going to the Little Inn. Service this time around was not very good, I'm sorry to say. Time between dinner courses was extensive (55 min. between soup and entree and another 40 between entree and dessert).

Thank you for taking the time to review the Little Inn after your most recent stay with us. As the new owners of the Inn, having just taken over ownership of the property four weeks ago, we already have plans to embark on some extensive renovations and updates to the Inn. These renovations will begin in January 2015, when we plan to close down for about 10 weeks, and the work to be done will encompass all areas of the inn, including the kitchen. We hope to have completed updates to all areas of the Inn in the next year to 18 month time period. Going forward we will strive to continually improve our product, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year to see the progress that has been made.

This was our second Thanksgiving stay at The Little Inn of Bayfield. The Owners and Staff provide great attention to detail from the moment of Check in clear through Check out. We highly recommend as a treat for yourselves one of the Inns Getaway packages.

Having done my research in advance, I knew the rooms at the Inn were more dated in style, it was last renovated in the 1980s. This would usually deter me from choosing to stay here, but if you're a person who prefers more updated style, don't let that deter you if you like a great location, great food and great service. The trifecta of great.

We ate 3 dinners at the Inn and enjoyed each one. We did the 182 anniversary special the inn was advertising, this meant we received a $50 dinner voucher for each night. Even without the voucher, worth every penny. Breakfasts were extremely plentiful, with a great selection. Most amazing, the staff would bring customized dishes in portions...want 5 strips of bacon or more potatoes or any extras, no problem, just ask at no extra cost.

This brings me to the staff, who were all smiles and very attentive. When I left for breakfast and let them know they can clean room in my absence, it was promptly done. No waiting around until mid or late afternoon. When I asked for robes, they too promptly arrived. When I asked to extend stay a night, they obviously had no problem in doing that but reduced the price by suggesting another discount they were offering even though I never inquired and would have happily paid full price. When our dinner was taking a little long to arrive, waitress brought over complimentary drinks even though we hadn't even offered up a complaint! Attentive. Attentive. Attentive. I have stayed in luxury hotels with regularity and have never seen that degree of consistency over 4 days.

It was our first time at the inn and we will be back! The sleep quality was great in terms of bed comfort and quietness. If you stay here, don't expect luxury or boutique NYC-style furnishings in the accommodation, but everything else is five star.

The Little Inn of Bayfield is an absolutely lovely old Inn in a quaint lakeside village. Lots of cute shops and galleries full of very friendly staff members to help you find what you're looking for. Close to Goderich and Grand Bend for more fun shops and restaurants. The rooms are well equipped and super clean. The restaurant is superb. Catch the sunset down on the beach. I have been several times and have always been very satisfied with my stay.

We purchased a 2 night package with 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner. We stayed in the Widow's Walk, which was absolutely perfect. If you're looking for space and privacy, the Widow's Walk is for you. The staff is friendly and accommodating; the warmth is appreciated in a small inn which tends to all of the small things. Bayfield is lovely. We took an art class at KryArt (right next door), had a fire on the beach, and wandered through the local stores. A really beautiful town. The Little Inn was spotless, airy and had excellent service. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at The Little Inn for the first time, for our 5th anniversary. I read reviews on trip advisor first as I noticed there are lots of inns and B&B's around and it's hard to know where to stay. I didn't read a single review that was bad about The Little Inn and thought we would give it a try.

Unfortunately when I booked it was only a week away and we didn't have a choice of which room we wanted so we got the last room available which was Rm. 10. It was a small room but everything we needed for our stay. It was very cute, clean and cozy. We loved the touch of cookies on our bed upon arrival and someone showing us to our room when we got there.

The inn was clean, comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our breakfasts were great each morning and dinner was even better! Our waitress at dinner was knowledgeable about the menu and any changes we wanted to make to our dinner was accepted. We didn't feel rushed through our meal at all, and the dinner room was quiet and relaxing. It was an extra bonus that the price we paid covered both breakfasts and dinner. Many other inns I looked at were much more expensive and often didn't even provide any meals. We were happy to not have to consider the extra costs of food on top of our weekends expenses.

The ice cream shop across the road was delicious and we loved the antique store down the road. We even bought a kitchen table that the owners were glad to deliver to our home 3 hours away for only $50 charge. We found the lake closely with no problems and walked there after breakfast and dinner. Overall the entire village of hayfield was friendly and relaxing. We loved being there and would definitely go back and recommend it to friends.

My wife and stayed at The Little Inn in Bayfield for the second time recently. This past stay was in the winter, the first in the summer.
The summer is always busy in Bayfield because of the nice beach, tons of restaurants and boutique shops. The Little Inn seems to always sell packages which includes dinner, we were nervous about that, but after dinner we were thrilled with the calibre of the dining room. The restaurant is highly recommend, they use local food but the genre is French.
In the winter Bayfield is slow - which is a good thing. We found in our last visit that even though some of the shops were closed, we were content to sit in one of the parlours or bar and enjoy some of there delicious wines or specialty teas. As well, since it was winter we did not need to go outside very often, except for our spa appointments.
I highly recommend The Inn in Bayfield as well as the restaurant and spa. Be sure to ask for some of the new suites in the Main Inn, we asked and got a full tour of the whole Inn!
Enjoy.

My husband and I spent a night at the Little Inn. We had never been there before but we will definitely be back. The Inn is lovely - it has lots of charm and history. It was the off season so it was quiet but that is what we were looking for. We stayed in the Premium Suite which was very large and comfortable. Since it was quiet we asked to see some of the other rooms so we would know our options next time we come. They are smaller but also very nice and would not hesitate to book one of them. Although the restaurant wasn't open for dinner (which we knew when we reserved), we had an excellent breakfast. Christine served us and she was very friendly and helpful. Bayfield itself is a beautiful little town where you can shop, walk, enjoy a nice meal or just go to get away from the hustle & bustle of life. We would highly recommend!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review, and glad you enjoyed your stay. It can be quiet in off season but sometimes our guests find that is just the thing they need. Snow storms and stuck in Bayfield at the Inn are also special...summer is nice too! We hope to welcome you back to the Inn soon. Warm regards, Mike Oliver -Owner
