We enjoyed a two night stay at Huff from September 21st to 23rd. The room was quite nice, clean ( we had booked the mid-range Premium) but a little dated. We found the bed to be very comfortable and for the first time, my husband found the hotel pillows to be very comfortable. He's fussy about that. I like the heating/cooling unit in our room so that we could control the temperature of our room. So many hotels have a thermostat that is not always working efficiently. The little fridge provided was not very cold so we had to use our traveling cooler to cool down our local beer purchases ( yes, we went to more craft breweries than wineries ). They could really benefit from an ice machine - we had to get ice from the staff refrigerator and there wasn't a lot in there.
Breakfast was delicious and filling. On our first morning, the breakfast staff were very welcoming and asked us politely what we'd like, explaining the process since it's not buffet. One staff member cleaned very carefully as guests touched self serving items such as coffee, cream so I thought they managed that quite safely during these Covid times. On the second morning, the 23rd, the young woman cooking the eggs was not very friendly or welcoming. She did not ask what we'd like, she just stood there until we asked her if she could serve us. She didn't offer the covered items such as bacon, sausages, waffles like the previous day so again we had to ask. I would suggest to eat early if you'd like the fresh fruit. I ate my breakfast at 8:30 one morning and there was a beautiful big bowl of strawberries. By the time my husband went for his breakfast( he likes to sleep later on holiday) at 9:15 there was none.
The pizza place was wonderful! Excellent staff, fast service and knowledgeable about their wines so they could offer suggestions for our tastes. We ate both of our dinners there. They close at 6pm so you'll have to eat early.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel room was big, clean and cozy. The complimentary breakfast was ok but very basic considering we spent over $300 for just 1 night. Other than that everything else was nice. Our room overlooked the vineyards and we had a nice complimentary tasting. Also the outdoor museum was interesting to look at.

Stayed for the weekend with friends. Easy to find. Rooms are very nice, we stayed in a suite and it came with a beautiful terrace. Super clean modern room , bed was absolutely super comfy!!! Large bathroom. Breakfast area is nice food is just ok but they were extremely flexible and allowed us to set up a dinner in the breakfast room because of the rain one night . Vineyard was closed but you could go to winery for your tastings. Wine is just ok , these wineries should really offer cheese and bread, it would make the experience so much more interesting and up a notch but still worth making this your base because of the great accommodations. Pizza is good but one feedback I would give is that since they close the pizza at 6pm, only for guests staying at the inn, you should be able to call ahead to order some pizza. They were very inflexible about that , and when your running around a whole day on a tour, it would be nice touch to have that.

Had an weird and unpleasant experience on the phone with Heather when booking who was not making the various "packages" very clear. Usually, a package means that there's a cost saving but in this case, it was just booking a bunch of things at the regular price and then paying full price for them all.

On arrival, I was impressed by the design of the property. However, on checking in, I found the lady at the desk to be short, rude, and not welcoming at all.

We put our belongings in the room - which was lovely but could've been better with one bigger bed instead of two smaller ones.

We went for our free tasting at the winery. The lady there was very friendly and welcoming. The Merlot was shockingly good!

We'd arranged a wine tour through the Inn and were picked up promptly on time in a limo which was a lovely surprise. We had an excellent tour guide, visited some stunning wineries, and were fortunate to have a lovely and friendly couple with us on the tour that we got along with.

Overall, I would recommend this place but a tip to management would be to train the staff on hospitality.

It's not the establishments fault, but directions on getting here could be better. My car's GPS could not find County Road 1.
Room was ok, good size with fridge. Bathroom with Jacuzzi tub was great.
Custom made breakfast was quick and pleasant. (Consider putting out a tip jar).
We enjoyed being able to have breakfast on the patio. There is a room for a few more socially distanced tables though.

Cleaning though is an issue, with a lack of detail. Closet had clothing tags on the floor and bathroom drawers contained someone's facial tool.

We were offered a complimentary wine tasting, but because of later arrival and early departure did not get a chance to use it. Perhaps provide a complimentary wine sampler in the room, or wine tasting on the hotel patio for guests after 5 pm?

No restaurants close by, so consider choosing and making reservations before arrival at hotel. Ask hotel for recommendations. We suggest Inn at Lake on the Mountain.

We booked the overnight stay with 1/2 day wine tour and had a great time! Our room was ready when we arrived at noon. It was clean, comfortable and had a few complimentary cans of the All Day Rose! The wine tour was great, good wineries and John our tour driver was very personable. The room was nice and quiet and breakfast in the morning was perfect, with made to order omelets. The only negative would be the lack of dining options in the winter. Picton is close by, but taxis are pricey at $30 each way. They are also very limited so be sure to call in advance or be prepared to wait 45 minutes plus.

We just spent 2 of our 4 nights in the PEC area here last weekend. I know there are some mixed reviews, but we were very happy with everything. Check in was a breeze, the rooms were quite clean & roomy (although a little 'rustic'), the beds were very comfortable, there was a nice patio outside each room, breakfast was good (thanks chef Ryan!), the staff were incredibly friendly, and price-wise it was certainly in line (or cheaper) than comparable accommodations.

Just walk outside your patio and you can go through the very unique fine art walk with amazing sculptures! And a couple hundred feet away is the Huff Tasting area (great wine & fun atmosphere) and the patio with fantastic wood-fired pizzas.

Wellington is just 10 or 15 minutes away, as is Picton. Not to mention all of the vineyards in the area.

Overall, it's a very nice clean Inn, with good amenities, great staff, in a central location. I have no qualms recommending this Inn.

We stayed in a suite, and everything was gorgeous! It walked out to a little patio area, and had every comfort we needed. Loved the design of the unit, with its super high ceilings, too. Breakfast had lots of options from making waffles or toast, to cereals and hard boiled eggs. Loved our stay.

Traveling with celiac disease is not an easy feat. It was really nice to be able to have a healthy breakfast completely gluten free. I was impressed how knowledgeable the staff was with cross contamination. When they heard I was celiac they offered gluten free bread and a separate toaster, and as soon as I was finished, they whisked it away before it could be used with regular bread. They told me what would be gluten free and what could be a cross contaminated risk.
Well done Huff Estates Inn!!

The suite we had was nice, as it should be for $459 for one night. However it did not have bathrobes or a coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was just ok and there are no other facilities, no dinner service other than pizza, which closes at 6 pm. Wine was average. Woman at check in was abrupt. Would not stay there again.

Thank you for your comments, The Inn and Winery at Huff Estates have not offered dinner onsite as there are so many great restaurants in the area for guests to enjoy. We do offer our wood fired pizza until 6pm nightly for those guests looking for a lighter fare. I have reviewed your comments with our front desk team as well. Thank you !

I think these questions that are posed are more suited for the estate to answer. I can attest to the wonderful accommodations and the winery, but not if there are rooms available, winter tours or if they allow dogs.
