Quiet, clean, comfortable. No frills, to be sure (bring your own hairdryer), but we had a most enjoyable three-night stay. Room and bath were immaculate, tile floor a preference to carpet, plenty of high-quality towels and bed linens, great bed and pillows. HVAC responsive and effective. Good TV reception and channel selection. Nice micro-fridge and in-room coffee maker. Very good shower, hot water and good pressure. Convenient lighting and outlets. We might only suggest a hook or two in the bathroom and a chair in the bedroom. There were chairs outside on the balcony but none in the room; the bed was the only place to sit. We were a little disappointed the bar/restaurant is not in operation, but we understand things changed here after COVID. Re-opening the facility would be a tremendous asset. Good dining options are within 5 minutes, however. Plenty of parking (hoping repaving and marking the lot are in the plans for future improvements) and easy access to rooms, even on second level without an elevator. We were delighted that daily room freshening was available! We would stay here again without hesitation and recommend to others.

NO service and I mean none. I left my key in the room by accident. 4 phone messages left, no one ever showed up. Someone in a nearby room helped me get back in after an hour outside. Room was damp and cold - meaning everything felt damp wet, no blankets. Had to use the second bed's cover and my summer jacket to warm up. Killed a few flies and there was sand on the carpet. Would never go there again.

Clean, off the beaten path, lots of nature sounds around us. Friendly staff, basic amenities, and close to the 401. We enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this place. It’s also very close to Newcastle and other attractions in the area.

We were in Bowmanville for a wedding and the Bride reserved rooms here. We arrived site unseen and we were NOT disappointed. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was spotless! The King size bed was incredibly comfortable. Christine was friendly, professional and very helpful. We loved our stay and will not hesitate to book there again if we are ever in the area.

Wow is this place a hole. The motel (yes it’s a motel) faces a giant parking lot. Not facing a marina. In an industrial area. The restaurant on site is closed. There is nothing around and looks like a total dive. We honestly just turned around and found something else. I’ve never done that before.

The marina was beautiful, the restaurant on the marina was very good. Sitting on the deck overlooking the marina was very nice. The staff was good, the rooms were okay. The one thing that they advertise is free wifi, but actually from the room we were in (203) we were only able to get one bar of wifi and most of the time, no wifi. Most people rely on wifi for their communications and internet but we were unable to connect to wifi, even with new Samsung phones. So that is why I gave a poor rating.

I really love what the new owners have done with this place! It is a great boutique hotel with a great restaurant on site. The staff is very friendly and helpful - I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back again!
