Enjoy your stay in Campbellford!
We enjoyed our stay at the Waters Edge. We had the Junior Suite, which has a king size bed plus a fold down bed. The fold down bed was very comfortable, with a proper memory foam mattress instead of the usual uncomfortable sofa bed. The deck overlooking the river was nice. The room was very clean, also the bathroom, and there are some nice touches. Bottled water is replenished every day, as is the coffee, cookies, and complimentary toiletries. I would not go so far as to describe the accommodation as luxury, but it was well above the usual standard for a small town motel.
Weekday rates at this in are very affordable. The owners have really paid a lot of attention to detail in the rooms. Water, snacks, and coffee are all in room, and the bathroom had numerous provisions even down to a make-up removal washcloth. Very clean room, with a nice walkout to sit by the water during the morning or evening. The only thing missing was any type of breakfast, but there are multiple spots in town that you could go to.
A last minute trip turned into a vacation we didn't want to end. From the gracious host to the well appointed room along the beautiful Trent River. We checked in seamlessly and immediately felt the luxury of our room with air-conditioning, robes, keurig and supplies, fridge, microwave, a large bathroom with spa toiletries. The deck overlooking the river was clean, quiet and serene. No need to worry about cards or keys to gain entrance as it was all keypad secured. The beds were superior in comfort, the grounds were well taken care of by friendly staff. Location is prime with the downtown core only minutes to walk to fine dining, attractions and the waterfront. A nice walk through Rotary Park takes you into the trail leading to Ferris Provincial Park and the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge. The perfect stay. Thank you!…
The hotel was lovely in a brilliant location and the staff were very helpful , it was very hot when we were there so it was busy , my only complaint was on the Saturday the maid left our patio doors open and as we were in a garden room and next to a public path we were pleased we returned to collect something or our room could have been left open all day , but all in all it was really nice .
Best place to stay in Campbellford. Clean updated and modern motel right on the river. Chairs to sit outside and watch the river go by you can even launch a canoe or fish. Definitely would stay again when in the area.
My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway, peace and quiet, and scenic views.....Water's Edge Inn has it all! We had room 201, which we would definitely request again...lovely spot looking right onto the river. Sitting room with TV, indoor and outdoor bistro tables, Keurig coffee, biscuits, microwave and fridge. Very comfortable bed (with another tv and charging station for your cellphones), good selection of toiletries. Absolutely immaculate! All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. A short 7 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend!!!
This inn sits on the water of the Trent canal system. Usually we drive though the town on the way to somewhere else. This time we decided to stay for 2 overnights. The location is just under 2 hours from Toronto, and is great to explore the Trent Hills area with many cute towns (Hastings {watch locks swing bridge}, Warkworth {great choclate shop, beautiful shops and cafes})and lush countryside. The inn has all the standard amenities, tea/ coffee Keurig service, large bathroom, rainfall shower, all very clean. We parked right in front of our room, no steps, so easy for anyone with mobility issues. It was very restful to step out onto the deck which overlooks the water and relax with a book ( Chairs and Table) Campbellford is a beautiful town , with an award winning bakery (Dooher’s , beware of lineup) a very good grocery with hot food (Sharpe’s). Take a short drive to the suspension bridge, stroll the waterside parks. Antonia’s Bistro is an excellent choice with a renown chef. We also tried Caper’s ( bison burgers), nice to sit on the patio but very busy. Visit Church Key brewery and enjoy a sip on their lawn, heading north along the river, and the bison farm on the other side on the way back . There is also a Saturday market. Campbellford is known for its Westben event space which is just waking up after its covid sleep…
I had the pleasure of visiting for a night. Not bad for mid-October. Mild, calm night. A lovely little escape if you want some peace along the water. Comfortable room, clean. A little deck to sit out on. I'll visit again.
The wife and I wanted to get away for a few days out of the city. After doing a bit of research we came across the town Campbellford. The Waters Edge is pretty cool. We went at a time when there was basically no one there (maybe 1 or 2 other guests were staying). It's cute..right on the water, lots of shops and amenities close by. Lots of little hot spot gems, waterfalls, trails and more...all of which are absolutely stunning. Had a great few days in Campbellford and would definitely go back.
We spent two nights in this amazing inn and we are very pleased with everything. the location is fantastic, just on the water. the room was very comfortable, with all the amenities you can ask for. Short walk to lots of restaurants and downtown. Looking forward to our next stay at this Inn.
