The short: Great hostess. Fantastic breakfasts. Beautiful home and room. The Long: Colleen was an amazing hostess with great conversations and stories based on her world travels, if you like to be social. If not, (who doesn’t like a perfect hostess?), she gives you all the peace and quite you want in her beautifully appointed and decorated turn of the century home. She sets a beautiful mood and treats you like a friend and royalty at the same time. I would not take a chance on any other B&B in Campbellford.
We had stayed here a couple of years ago so when looking for accommodation in Campbellford it was an easy choice. We stayed in a beautiful century home that is restored and decorated with class. Our host is well travelled and very interesting to spend time chatting with The breakfasts were outstanding and I’m sure anyone would totally love their stay here. Great Job Colleen!!
The house is marvellous. The suites are perfectly decorated and full service, if not to say luxury. The breakfast was not a traditional Canadian meal, but the result of the inspiration of the host. But most of all the hospitality of the owner is exceptional. We had very inspirational talks with her on travelling, on culture, on life in general. We felt as if we could be friends with her.
Had an amazing two nights at King and Knight. The whole house is a charm and very cozy; from the living room to the dining room, bedroom and even the bathroom. Colleen the host is wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet her. We planned a two day excursion at Ferris Provincial Park and coming back to K&K at the end of our hikes was the best treat of all. I am so glad we stayed here and I want to go back. Location: Perfect location, close to town, facing the Trent river and close to Ferris Provincial Park. Bedroom: Stayed in the King bedroom and couldn't have asked for better. The service is outstanding for a B&B. Bed is comfortable, room is very clean, linen so soft. The room has two windows and is perfect in the morning when the warm sun rays come through. Had the bathroom with the hot tub. The bathroom is spacious and cozy and fully equipped with everything you might need, bath salts, full set of towels, robes, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. House: Very nicely decorated, charming and comfortable. Interesting book collection upstairs, you can easily spend hours and hours there. The living room has a lovely fireplace and Colleen has excellent music playing throughout the day, you feel like you are in a different world. Food: This is the highlight of the stay here. Delicious, fresh, homemade breakfast with a wonderful variety. Colleen did an outstanding job.…
The home is beautiful and the furnishings are interesting. I had the room with the whirlpool tub, it was amazing, there were bath salts provided and the bathroom was spacious. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Colleen is a gracious hostess and a very interesting lady to talk to. The breakfast was fantastic and you will not leave here hungry. To make the accommodation perfect, I would had liked more than one bath towel, also I would had liked to had been asked before it happened, if I would like my bed turned down, and I do not think the "tip" envelope for the cleaning staff is really appropriate.
