These cabins are absolutely perfectly located for fisherman and the waterfront with small beach is ideal for families, especially young kids. Everything is clean and the owners are accommodating/friendly. rustic cabins, but with absolutely everything you could need. Had such a good time we booked again two weeks later …….. 👍

Stayed a week in August with two other couples. Rented Three cabins. Cabins are rustic but very clean (Bills daughters I guess get applause for that). Cabins are right on the lake with great sunrises and lots of wildlife.
Eagles Turtles Beavers etc. Would highly recommend this place for anyone outdoorsy. Also lots to do around the island. Beaches Breweries etc. (Oh and the fishing is great) Happy Travels. Cheers

We have gone to Lake Wolsey Cabins 3 years in a row now. The price is unbeatable, cabins a clean and fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Nice little beach area and great fishing for the whole family. Quiet and beautiful.

We stayed at Lake Wolsey cabins and we where extremely disappointed!!! First of all these are basic hunting or fishing camps, not a cottages. They where clean but the furnishings are old and well used. The price they are charging is outrageous, we stayed at the camp on the beach it was 160 per night plus 120 docking and 40 for my dog. Highway robbery! the so called office has nicotine dripping off the inside of the windows and is filthy, they smoke while you are in there. The games room is an old dirty shed with a pool table in it. The grounds and flowerbeds are over grown with weeds, broken benches outside of the washrooms. The biggest disappointment was from the owners themselves! From the moment we arrived we were constantly harassed by the owner Jamie telling us to pick up our dog feces, which we do! I asked what the $40 was for he said they have to spray the cabin after dogs been in there LOL I doubt it. The beach that everyone swims at is swarming with poison ivy so warning!I had a birthday dinner for my boyfriend with 12 people in attendance with ages ranging from 10 to 80 years old. I was unaware that I had to tell anyone about the party since I was paying for the cabin. Apparently on the webpage in very small print it says there’s an extra charge for vehicles and people. Instead of addressing this in a polite manner after my company had left, Jamie pulls up to my guests and Rips a strip into me for not informing him, in front of everyone! My guests happened to be business owners from the island and where mortified by his actions. He said we needed to pay them $150 for the guests and their vehicles, get this but took 100 cash.... I would sleep in a tent before I stayed there again!!!

Have been tripping to Lake Wolsey for 21 years. Has all you need for fishing sunning and playing. Quite lake, not much traffic, good fishing for Perch and Rainbow, Pike has been better but still good Pike in the lake, Smallmouth Bass, the lake has it all.
Cabins are rustic, nothing fancy, no air, no phone, no t.v. Playing cards at night good choice. Strong recommendation for anyone looking to get away with kids, spend lots of time on the water and have no connection with the troubles at home.

We have been going to this property for about the last 10 years. Has everything you need for a fishing vacation. However,we have noticed that the place is getting run down with a lot of junk lying around. The prices keep going up but we have not seen any improvements to the rustic cabins.

This was a centrally located on the island where you could use it for planning day trips which we did. The cabins were spaced a part so you thought that you were the only one on the lake. The cabins were rustic but very clean and had everything that we needed for the week. A beautiful lake good fishing, good swimming, great walking trails. The owners were great and went out of their way regarding any requests that we had. Dog friendly. Have booked for next year

I'm here looking for prices but I can say that I have stayed in these cabins many years ago with my family as a child , this memory has never left me , the cabins seem to be upgraded since I've been there of course . I remember the cast iron old wood stoves and the awesome pet chipmunks that would come inside the cabin and sit on my shoulders , I remember sitting on the porch of our rustic cabin with peanuts calling my chipmunk " pets " as I called them , to my surprise they would come every morning and sit in my lap eating their snack .

I also remember my mother taking us on a bot ride in the beautiful crystal clean lake and catching fish for our dinner at the campfire overlooking the water while looking up in amazement at all the stars visible in the sky . the cabins provided a great deal of privacy from other campers , the place was clean and quiet . it was a perfect vacation with long lasting memories .

for anyone wanting to give their children a lasting memory , this is the place to take them , it was 25 + years ago and I remember it like it was just last week .

to the owners of these camp grounds , if you are still the same owners , thank you for the amazing memories , I hope to give my children the same experience someday soon .
