Me and my boyfriend had the best experience at Whispering Springs. We booked one of their bell tents and due to covid we were lucky enough to have the common areas such as washroom and kitchen all to ourselves. It was a good time to relax, unwind and just be off the grid. There were a lot of activities, yoga, campfire was provided access to pool and hot tub. Our bell tent was near a pond so we had direct access to boating, paddle board you can do fishing to just bring your gears. There was a mini bar I just wished they had non alcoholic drinks too like a mini coffee shop would have been nice too. Overall, the staff was very accommodating it is a family run business and they do their best to make sure the experience is great. Food is definitely overpriced due to the location being secluded and groceries and restaurants are at least 10km away but that’s why you can cook and bring your own food to barbecue and cook. They provide everything like cup, plates and utensils plus a fridge to store your food, thank God there was a coffee maker too. The bell tens do get hot in the summer but they provide an electric fan. There is electricity on all their tents. No wifi though, once you get in your area please be aware no cell service but that’s the beauty of it you can take time to chill and admire nature’s beauty!

Excellent, really 4.5*. We had a terrific stay and plan to return next year.

The setting is magnificent, our tent (Harvest Moon) was really big, very well appointed, and had splendid views from its main deck across the estate and the Watering Hole. The bed was very comfortable and the electric blanket kept us cosey (yes folks, Fall is on the way!). The tents are heated, but it does involve a fan which is not the quietest. There are two chair hammocks on a separated lower deck. Our tent was very well equipped - check the web site for full list of features.

We had pizza at the Watering Hole on the first night and the BBQ steak meal kit to cook on the grill the second night. Both excellent!

The pizzas were had crisp thin base and great great toppings. The steaks come ready seasoned so they just go straight on the grill. The tenderloins were top notch. The box also included salad (with the ripest and tastiest tomatoes we’ve had in a long time), baked potato, corn on the cob and mushrooms, and let’s not forget the bottle of wine!

The Watering Hole also offers killer cocktails (special mentions to the Cedar Smoked Old Fashioned, and Smortini v2 (less milk than v1). They also made a great Negroni, not on the list, and I’m sure Matt could handle other requests as well. We heard other guests commenting on the good beers offered, but didn’t try any ourselves. There is also a rudimentary wine list. You can take your own wine to have in your tent but no BYO endorsement for the Watering Hole. There is ample seating, properly spaced, on the various patios.

Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and most helpful and the owner was always around keeping an eye on things and explaining some of the history of the Retreat.

The Corcorans are to be commended for the splendid facility they have built and also for their work preserving the Savannah woodland and creating the large pond. The Woodland Chapel which they have created is a wonder and has to be seen. The grounds are beautiful with well maintained shrubs, and several patios by the Watering Hole joined by wooden bridges. There are hiking trails for the energetic, or so I am informed...

This is the perfect spot to slow down and chill. You can watch assorted wild life and feed a couple of horses they have in the paddock.

Remember that this is camping, albeit of the most elevated kind, be adaptable, and ready to enjoy the fresh air and the great outdoors and you’ll have a great stay.

My husband and I decided that a few days away in the county would be a perfect solution for the COVID blues. We booked a few days in Wellington and then decided to day spa at Ste Anne's Spa. I had read an article about Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat earlier in the year and thought that this would be a perfect accommodations.

My husband was a camper, tripper and worked at a summer camp for years and I was a cottager at heart and really not into camping. However, a stay at Whispering Springs is a solution for this couple. The property is just spectacular and the fall leaves are turning so, it is even more enhanced. The amenities are perfect, salt water pool, hot tub and lots of fire pits around the property. A terrific selection of games, including "field" games and boards games. All with a backdrop of two lovely horses with a selection of horse carrots to feed them. The bar has a terrific selection and the pizzas that they offer are just amazing.

Our accommodations in the Canadian Safari Tent were just perfect well appointed and a lovely glamorous feel to them. We had arranged for a dinner and breakfast as. part of our accommodations and the dinner was just perfect with a lovely cut of steak to be cooked on our propane cook stove. The basket was perfectly presented and included a wine of bottle.

The attention to detail surrounding all aspects of Whispering Springs can be seen and felt - we will be returning in fact, we think it would be a perfect location for our youngest daughter's wedding.

Thank you for a lovely time away and best of luck with your packing up for the winter season.

From the second we pulled in we felt instantly transported into a totally different world of relaxation, serenity and calm. It was so nice to be totally surrounded by nature and to be able to cook, shower and eat outside with the comforts of having a beautiful pool, sitting area (stunning out of a magazine) and other comforts like food to order (try the pizza!!!!) and games to play. Not a detail is left out from the organic shampoo and conditioner to the little white solar lights that light up the nature at night. The staff are both beyond kind and welcoming and the entire weekend left us feeling rejuvenated and care free. We will absolutely be back.

Words can’t even begin to describe how amazing our experience was!
As soon as you pass under the Whispering Springs sign the outside world melts away as you are enveloped by the rolling hills.
Upon checking in (done online a couple days before) they give you very easy to follow instructions on what to do upon your arrival. Once we got to the road and saw the glory of the grounds we were blown away at its beauty. The horse pasture and amenities are pretty central and had plenty of room for us to enjoy in this new covid-19 world.
The tent (wildwood) was phenomenal! It was like something out of a movie. The big wooden bead frame was so welcoming and the mattress was very comfortable. In this specific tent the washroom was attached to the back and accessible through a zippered door. It gave a bit more privacy and the outdoor shower was pretty great too!
All in all my experience was amazing and I’m so thankful that I was able to enjoy this oasis in the midst of this pandemic!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Whispering Springs last week - its easily becoming our favourite an annual tradition. This year we celebrated a birthday by upgrading to the Whisper Cabin after staying during our previous visits in the Sous le Vent tent. The Cabin was an added bit of privacy as well as luxury and we especially appreciated all the precautions taken to ensure cleanliness and care during COVID. The cabin offered a fabulous screened-in porch, living room with gas fireplace, full equipped kitchen and bathroom, and cozy bedroom (with lots of hot water and air conditioning). We also enjoyed the property amenities, including swimming pool, hiking trails, ping pong table, and paddle boating. We're looking forward to returning in 2021..!

We recently spent two nights at Whispering Springs to celebrate our 26 year wedding anniversary, and couldn't have asked for a better time. Despite the fact that we were also in the midst of what was dubbed "Caterpocolypse"...gypsy moth caterpillars all through the forests. And our tent, the Sous le Vent, was right in prime caterpillar territory. But the owners and staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful, even going so far to book us a room at a b&b on the property so we could stay elsewhere should we not feel comfortable with the caterpillars.
They made sure our tent was thoroughly cleared before we arrived and told us to let them know if it needed an additional cleaning. I have to say, the customer service at Whispering Springs is the best I've experienced anywhere.
That all being said...I haven't even touched on how incredible the tents and property are. We also partook in the breakfast and BBQ baskets on offer for our meals, because we just didn't want the hassle of having to bring our own groceries...they were perfect and delish!! We wanted a quiet romantic getaway for our anniversary and that is exactly what we got. If you're looking for a peaceful escape into nature with a touch of luxury, this is the place!

p.s. the Forest Chapel is right out of a story book and the exact place I wish we had gotten married in.

We just returned home from a 3 night stay at Whispering Springs and we are still on cloud nine. I was immediately impressed the moment I set foot on the property. The Watering Hole/Reception area blew my mind. I felt like I had arrived at an island resort....the music, the landscaping and just the ambiance was so inviting.

We stayed in Wild Wood, a junior safari tent that was secluded, and offered a beautiful outdoor shower! This was an added bonus! We took full advantage of our own fire pit and also loved being able to use the bbq to cook our meals.

There is so much to do during your stay! We enjoyed hiking on the trails of the property and discovered the enchanted forest which offered up an outdoor chapel for weddings. It was so adorable! My husband enjoyed some fishing and caught a speckled trout. We also took the canoe out for a little ride. The pool was so refreshing during these hot summer days.

We can’t say enough about the staff and how hospitable they are. Nancy was so friendly and we enjoyed a few conversations (and delicious drinks) with Matt. You could tell that they love doing what they do!

We didn’t have one concern over the cleanliness of the property as it was in pristine condition.

Thank you for providing us with a little getaway to relax and recharge! We will definitely be booking again and we will bring friends!

Whispering Springs offers a luxe glamping experience. I love that you can be in the the great outdoors without having to sacrifice comfort. A definite 5-star! I don't think I can ever go back to normal camping again.
I stayed in the Harvest Moon tent and it was such a magical experience from the decor and the little touches they put in the tent. One of the tents that have 2 hammocks with an amazing view.
So convenient that they provide all the necessities such a bbq, fridge, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils (ie. plates, forks, spoons, knives, salt and pepper). We decided to bring our own food to cook however they do offer breakfast/dinner baskets for purchase along with a pizzeria onsite you can order pizza from.
Lots of activities to keep yourself occupied. They have a lovely pool you can lounge at close to the watering hole in case you need a drink or two and trails throughout the property you can explore along with a small pond you can kayak/paddleboard (equipment provided).
At night they had a musician come by and entertain the guest with his singing. It was a lovely with a guitar which was such a lovely end to the night.
All the interactions I've had with management were so friendly and made my stay so comfortable
I've already had a lot of my friends and family reach out about my stay and are wanting to try it out as well. Highly recommend!!!
I can't wait to come back here again and try a different tent.
Thank you Whispering Springs!

Took a 3 day getaway in one of Ontario's scenic landscapes, Whispering Springs. We experienced the Safari Tents which were a combination of camping and staying at a hotel.

There's plenty to do such as canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming at the pool, a dip in the hot tub, fishing at the pond, hiking, feeding horses, wall climbing, exercise at the gym, volleyball, badminton, lawn games, board games, or grab a drink/bite at The Watering Hole (their restaurant/bar). Selection of drinks were great and pizza was perfect!

They provide you a mini fridge and grill to cook food. Next time we go here, we will also bring our camping burner to cook foods other than grilled food.

I would also bring a couple jugs of drinking water as I don't know if the water is drinkable (I couldn't find note of that anywhere).

Bath stuff were provide just like a hotel (towels, robes, shampoo, body wash, conditioner). But I'd bring a blow dryer if you don't like air drying your hair. Bring slippers for inside and flashlights for exiting your tent at night.

While this was a luxurious camping experience, there was no shortage of wildlife as we saw a snake, four blue jays, jumping fish at the pond at around 5pm, and wild turkey.

Overall, I love camping and being comfortable, so this was perfect!

The little barbecue provided is awesome. We cooked turkey burgers the first night and steak and potatoes the second night. We brought mostly snacks for lunches. And bringing breakfast was overkill because the basket they provide is to-die-for and plenty. If you want to cut down on some food packing, the bar sells homemade pizzas and though we didn’t try them I would plan to eat that at one meal to save some packing myself next time. We just got back today. Get excited. You’re going to love it!
