I recently stayed one night in this establishment and never had a good nights sleep; the mattress was rock hard and the bed had the smallest pillows - what kept me awake the most was the constant smell every time the heater ran - it smelled like stinky old socks in the corner. There was no way of getting rid of this smell; I sprayed Lysol (which I brought with me to disinfect the room against Covid-19) in the room which took care of the smell only for a short time - it was an awful smell. I feel that the room was overpriced for what you get; I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Toronto in December and paid only $97.00 per night (with free heated parking) - this hotel was by far, much more expensive. Room was clean other than the stink from the heater. Due to Covid-19, a hot breakfast was not served, however, a bagged breakfast was provided which had a very good variety of food (yogurt, juice box, fruit cup, granola bar, muffin).

I'm sorry to hear about your night at the hotel. As for the pillows I'll look into possibly upgrading out queen sized pillows to king or larger. AS for the smell we've had the room's carpet cleaned and the AC cleaned out as well top to bottom. Hopefully you'll give us a second chance to impress you.

I have been coming to this Comfort Inn forever, maybe seven or eight stays each summer and fall. I met Jean Marc, the current manager in 2007 when he worked the front desk on the midnight shift. I told him he would be the manager one day and he is. :0). He is that good. Wanda, I have known almost as long. She is simply all around amazing at everything she does. Perfection. Jean Francois, Amie, Sam, and Randy are exceptionally courteous in their dealings with guests and leave nothing wanting. There are newer hotels in Kapuskasing but they do not make you feel as if you are at home as these guys do. The best part is being greeted by your first name upon arrival. Oh yes, the woman (sorry, name unknown), who makes the morning breakfast always makes it first rate. I have danced on this earth for seventy three years and old enough to remember Customer Service the way it used to be. These guys are as good and would fit in nicely in those times.

Room Tip: I stay on the highway side of the hotel and have yet to hear any road noise. Do not let it worry...

Thank you so much Roy. It makes me so happy to hear you're still coming and enjoying your self here. You where one of my first check inns. (Has it already been 13 years? Where does the time go?) Having a regular like you is special. We have plenty of guests that come and go but when we get to thew point where every one of staff can remember you , you know you've made an impact on us as well. I'm also glad that my staff is continuing to make sure your stay with us is special. Wanda, Randy, Amy, Jean-Francois, Sam and Suzanne all give their greetings and well wishes. We can't wait to see you again.

First of all our room was okay and fairly clean. We have stayed there many times but this was the worst breakfast ever. At 830 am on Saturday they ran out of eggs and the breakfast goes to 10.00am.The ham slices were very over cooked dried out like a hockey pucks .The hash browns were dried up and looked like brown gravel. When a man asked for more eggs the woman at the front desk said they had run out and there would be no more . At 830 am there were only 5 of us at beakfast and the hotel was not even 1/2 full. Sunday they had what was resembaling omelets . They were starting to dry out and the edges were starting to burn. The ham and the hash browns were the same as the day before . Either the person in charge did not have a clue to add some water to the heater tray or it was set to high. It could be everything was over cooked from the get go , but I will give them the befit of the doubt of not being trained properly!

We've looked into it. Turns out the morning shift was putting the heating tray at max. It needs to be set at medium. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. We will correct the issue.

My Wife and I were supposed to stay at the Moose hotel in Smooth Rock Falls it I received an urgent email fro Hotels.com to say the hotel had a fire and to contact them to arrange alternate accommodations which I did but I could not understand why it took 1 1/2 hours on the phone mostly on hold when I could have booked it online myself in less than 10 minutes. When I got to the Comfort inn they had my name spelt wrong, the wrong credit card number and had not been paid by Hotels.com even though zI had paid in advance. It took another hour on the phone with Hotels.com to sort it out.

We arrived there as planned . But the room we requested ,we were told was not a good idea to stay inn because of the noise . The hotel was almost full of flood refugees and their families . The room we were given was small with an unusually small Queen bed ? It was clean no problem there . The breakfast was was okay and they tried to keep it stocked .But in our room we could hear people coming and going outside because of the door slamming , this went on constantly even through all hours of the night! In my opinion there was not enough staff to keep the hotel clean with all that was going on . The parking lot had not yet being cleaned from winter sand and had more the just hundreds of butts and garbage litter every where .The side entrance had garbage in it most of the time and was dirty .There were windows that were not cleaned for days during our visit.. Again to be fair there was a lot of children there with nothing to do but run around the hotel and chalking the outside brick walls. Again I feel the hotel was short staffed ,as for the grounds I do not know what the issue was there . I just hope they can recover and get back to their old standards .
