We went for a quick birthday getaway, and weren't disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the decor was really quirky and fun, our room (#12) was spacious and clean. The balcony overlooking Main Street was great for morning coffee as well as a nightcap. There are some good restaurants nearby, and having a brewpub attached to the hotel was a great bonus. We were in Kingsville from Sunday to Wednesday, and one drawback is that most of the restaurants in town are closed Mondays. We would definitely do a late week/weekend stay next time. Aside from that, we fully recommend The Grove!
A quick weekend getaway landed us at the Grove we had heard so many good things about. One word sums up our experience - details. The Grove clearly understands that the little details like a bottle of water, respect for an environmentally friendly stay, amazing response time to emails, and all day coffee just to name a few. Will definitely be back for a longer stay!
The Grove was recommended by locals familiar with its fun vibe. We found the room entertaining, comfortable, clean and bathroom well stocked. The fine glass wear, bottles of water, coffee and snacks were well appreciated. We did not have a balcony but the rocking chairs on the porch were well enjoyed by us as a lovely place to people watch and share a glass of wine or read a book as they were just outside the front door about 6 steps away! Staff were kind and always chatted on our way by. When seeking instructions on the Air conditioning controls, the team member was on it immediately! Solved the situation quickly! Our reason for staying was to attend a wedding, but I enjoyed the walkability of the neighborhood, the beautiful local homes and the proximity to the lake. The Greenway was close by for biking and the lovely map by the bicycle shed gave us a great overview of the area’s wineries and places of interest. Next time we will try those out! A totally happy few days staying at the Grove! Thank you for attention the details!…
We enjoyed a two night stay in Room 12. The room was spotless, so well-cleaned. The refurbishment of the hotel is really well done - retains a bit of its historical feel but very hip and fun too. Room 12 has a lovely balcony, with comfortable seating, overlooking Main Street. Can get really loud out there with transport trucks, motorcycles, etc. but we didn't mind. The Grove Brew House next door is a great spot for a quick bite and drink too. Lovely cocktails as well as craft beers.
Awesome boutique hotel with friendly staff and awesome curated rooms. We loved the balcony that overlooks the Main Street and the car themed room was super cute! We rented bike from the Grove bike company and pedaled to wine country from the hotel. Lovely couples getaway!
