2022 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
The Grove Hotel has transformed one of Kingsville's historic landmarks into its most deserving self - an intimate downtown boutique hotel worthy of the history that it holds with a fresh, new energy and style. Built in 1854 during the Prohibition Era, there is so much history here that we just can't ignore...and we can't wait to show you what else we have planned!

This hotel is quite different from any hotel I have stayed in. It's a historic hotel that has been nicely renovated with each room as different theme, The style is quirky but not in a tacky way. We had room 19 that had a balcony overlooking Main St. Room was large, bed comfortable and room stocked with all essential items. Our room had two very comfortable and large patio chairs on the balcony. Hotel was very clean. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Wish we had stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is the place you want to stay if you are visiting the area! Excellent communication by daily email, they even ask if there is anything you want in your fridge before you arrive. Perfectly located, with walking distance to all of the restaurants and is attached to a great brewpub. Parking included at the back or in the municipal lot nearby. Very clean, comfortable and up to date. Easy diving distance to all of the Wineries which was the reason for our trip.

This is the sweetest and hippest (if that's a word!) hotel I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. The beautiful exterior has maintained it's previous character but is a beautiful bright welcoming colour. Our room was themed (as many of them are!) and we loved it! We love the attention to "being green" and the steps taken to make that happen. The "cool kids" at the desk were so friendly and happy to help. I can't recommend this sweet place enough and look forward to returning when their next project "Joe" comes to town!

The Grove Hotel has a. beautiful personality from the street, and a unique quirky and fun communication style in all its marketing and guest communications. We stayed in one of its King balcony rooms overlooking Main Street. Room was spacious and with a fun decor theme. But the best part was sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The hotel rates the room as noisy because it faces the street, but the street was quiet during the night, which is the only time we cared about quiet! There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they provide 24 hour snacks in the lounge. And the entire Main Street is their restaurant, available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and anytime in between. We’ll be back here again!

Had the best nights sleep on the softest but still supportive mattress. Was a great little hotel. Quirky room - great balcony overlooking the Main Street - all the staff really nice. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for three nights recent in Room 1 on the main floor. Overall had a quite a lovely stay, rooms were clean and had cute amenities like video games etc. Only qualm was that it was a little loud at times. Our room was on the main floor with our bedroom window backing out into the alley at the side of the hotel. Also you could often hear people stomping around upstairs, but this never occurred at night, only in the morning when we were already awake. We didn't realize there was coffee, hot cocoa and small snacks available in the common area until nearly the end of our stay. Was a nice surprised, but would have appreciated if we knew about it beforehand. Overall, quite a lovely stay, not far to drive to Point Pelee National Park or the Kingsville/Leamington ferry point to visit Pelee Island.

First and foremost thank you for your feedback. We agree that our hotel is in the middle of action at times - but that’s also what makes it a fabulous location. Being a historic building does lend itself to some creaks and sounds but we are glad to hear that it did not disturb your sleep. With 18 rooms, we are confident that we can find the perfect room location for each of our guests. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and we hope you will return again in the future.

My wife and I planned a one night getaway to Essex county to sample wine and check out some microbreweries. We chose The Grove based on trip advisor reviews and also pictures of the hotel. We were not disappointed as The Grove met all our expectations. Check in was very easy and our room and the whole premises were spotless. We chose a balcony room ( #11) and were glad we did as it was very pleasant at night and in the morning sitting on the balcony in the very comfortable chairs. The room although not overly large was very functional with an on suite bathroom, minibar and fridge and a very adequate air conditioner. Although we faced the main street we did not hear any street noise at night. A Keurig coffee maker is in the main lounge along with packaged snacks and cutlery. This is available 24 hr. There is limited free parking in the rear but also free nearby parking if needed. Many dining options are within walking distance and several wineries are an easy drive. The staff are amazingly friendly and offer great suggestions to enjoy the area. One in particular is Millers Bakery 2 blocks away where delicious baked goods can be picked up after 9:00 am and be taken back to the room to enjoy or packed for a day trip. We plan to return to the area in the fall and will certainly stay here again. Of note is that the Grove microbrewery has moved from next door and renovations are underway to convert that area to a coffee shop. The renovations did not interfere with our stay.

The Cool Kids (staff) at the Grove Hotel were efficient & friendly. The hotel decor is fun & eclectic-and I believe all the rooms are decorated in different themes. There's a homey little common area complete with snacks & fruit, coffee & tea-even board games.Hand-written cards/memos in our room & a mini bar with local wines & beer. The hotel is in a great location downtown-easy walking distance to restaurants, bars & shopping. We would definitely stay there again1

THIS is how you run a hotel! It's obvious the needs of the customer are top priority...and boy, is that refreshing. Loved the emails prior to our stay to ensure every little detail was taken care of. Beautiful hotel and taking care of the little details continued in the hotel, from the complimentary coffee and snacks in the reception area to the room itself. We stayed in the Viva Las King room. Well appointed and beautifully decorated. Elvis would've loved it! Already looking forward to coming back. Awesome job, ladies!
