We stayed here as part of a medical outreach team. The experience was clean, comfortable, safe and friendly. What a privilege it was to meet Tony briefly one morning. He was friendly and took pride in building this place. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

This is the only place to stay in Moosonee, because, as we understand, the others have closed down. Trudy is a wonderful, very helpful host and we enjoyed our stay. The walk from the station is unpaved, with no sidewalk - not nice if it is raining!

Trudy met us at the front door of the guesthouse and let us know that we would be staying in an adjacent building. When we got to the building, Trudy took us upstairs. She explained that the breakfast was continental and pointed out a loaf of bread and some cereal in the kitchen area. There was a Keurig machine and...

The guest house is within walking distance from the train. All the rooms were clean , spacious and tastefully decorated. Mattresses , pillows and linens very comfortable. Continental breakfast included fresh strawberry muffins one morning and raisin tea biscuits and lemon loaf the next. We bought our groceries and cooked all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen and...

pleasantly surprised. The room was super cozy, rustic, warm and the hospitality was very much appreciated. It was close enough to walk to the local store and to the restaurant. By the way, the sky ranch newfie poutine is delish!

I rented a suite on the lower floor for one day in December, 2015. Found the place to be extremely clean with a blend of both modern and classic furnishings. I was surprised how relatively quiet the place was, despite being fairly close to the train station. The stairs leading to the upstairs do creak a bit, but overall I...

The Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the 'barn' which was delightful. A porch with deck chairs, a great room with a comfortable bed and a complete kitchen. The bathroom was modern & spacious. Our lovely hosts not only provided everything that we could possibly need but allowed us to stay in the main guesthouse while waiting for our...

For the last 3 years, a group of women from Moosonee rent the entire guesthouse for an annual staycation. We love the cozy atmosphere, the kitchen, and the hospitality. This place is a great escape from every day life, a vacation in our own backyard. I always leave rested & rejuvinated.

I live in Moosonee and my parents came to visit. I stayed with them for three nights at the moose river guesthouse and it was wonderful. Candice was very available for helping us. She takes such good care of her presentation of the rooms and the common areas! It was reassuring to see the work and pride she puts into...

“Book early in Mooseonee as there are really only 2 places to stay. The Polar Bear Inn had a fire and Tamarack Suites closed. Since there are many contractors who come to Mooseonee to work the places to stay are very limited.”
