The other side of the coin. I was at the resort while the poster below was enjoying the wedding. I hope the happy couple have a wonderful, long, healthy marriage. But I was under a room that partied until 0400. I also had a party going on outside my door until 0230. The resort could have done more for other guests - Let the wedding guests enjoy their own wing/section to the resort. My wife and the couple we were with spoke to reception explaining we had had two nights without rest and were too tired to properly enjoy our Sunday. The young man on reception was helpful but said a Manager was the best person to speak to. The manager was disinterested. Didn't represent the resort well and basically shrugged off the visit. Plus; The rooms are being updated. The bedrooms are great. Minus; A member of restaurant staff thought it fine to use bad language in front of guests. I emailed the resort (twice) sharing requested feedback - no reply. Resort has potential and as below - great for parties. For families or couples wanting to relax and meet good management - Go elsewhere.

Great staff. Great view of Lake. Rooms fine and clean. But.... Great for groups and parties. 30 of us arrived for a wedding and it was superb. Had the fire pit and booze going until 0200 first night (ignore the no fire pit after 9. Nobody cares) Back to the room and partied until 3. We had great times. Bring your own beer staff ok with that. OK to drink outside too. Absolutely great place for a party group.. Do whatever you want - ignore the noise rules. The staff are superb and genuinely don't mind. If I could give 6 starts I could. Party resort for ages 20 - 38 Definitely back for another party weekend Thank you Rocky Crest

Ate there on Aug. 27/21. Fish an chips for $27. Was frozen battered haddock! Fried chicken frozen, eventually they cooked a piece of boneless chicken on the grill. Came with salad and sweet potato fries. Chicken hot, fries cold. Total cost for dinner $91.00 for 2 chicken dinners, 1 drink and 2 coffees. Will not be back.

Just returned home from a fabulous week at Rocky Crest and already looking to book a second trip for next year. After reading some of the reviews my husband and I were a little skeptical and didn't go in with high expectations. I am happy to report that we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations, resort, amenities, food and service. The resort is not a big place and really a 5 min walk (if that) to all but one of the restaurants. The dock is amazing, the view is outstanding. There always seemed to be enough deck chairs. The water was clear and warm. Sports equipment was always available - my daughter and I only had to wait once for about 5 min for a paddleboat to come back. The sports staff could be a lot more helpful. If you ask they will come out from behind the desk to help you find a life jacked size or get a kyack in the water. Some of the equipment has seen better days but it all works and is a lot of fun. The large water course is so great and so much fun. My daughter made new friends every day and played on that thing for hours. The bonfire was great, the fire pit could be a bit bigger or it would be great if they could find a way to get a second pit on the property. It served its purpose of roasting marshmallows and making smores. I loved sitting by the fire getting to know people. The pool was good, truth be told we didn't want to hang by the pool when there was an amazing lake to swim in. The pool is open until 10:00 p.m. which was great for night swimming. The food was good. I would suggest skipping the Windows breakfast. Everything was cold - so we stuck with bagels, baked goods, fruit and coffee. Dinner at Window was a nice experience. My husband and my friend both had the steak dinner and loved it, my daughter and I had the seafood pasta (I wouldn't recommend it). The patio restaurant was really good and the golf course is a must! make sure you book reservations or you will be disappointed. The accommodations were great. We stayed in the 2 bedroom loft! perfect for 4 people. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, bathrooms were updated. you had a good view. No complaints from me. Tip - the room has a kitchenette - Bring breakfast foods and lunch foods, you can run up and make a quick lunch for the fam and bring it down to the dock. Oh, and wine, bring some wine with you :) Botton line, the good really outweighed the not so good and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Our family returned to Rocky Crest in 2021 for yet another great trip. We’ve stayed there a dozen times over 25+ years. Our trips started with myself and my wife as a young couple, continued as a family with young children and in recent years, we were back to a couple again. This last trip was a post-COVID reunion of sorts with our now adult daughters. Rocky Crest is great base for any Muskoka Trip, a wonderful place to relax, and the golf is amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, the facilities in good shape. We spent time at the pool, paddle boarding, and our daughters even went out to the floating water park. Evenings were spent by the fire, or playing Euchre on our deck. My one disappointment was that Windows Steak House was closed on Monday and Tuesday. We’d made a number of other plans the other nights of our stay, which meant we ever had a chance for dinner there. Thank you Rocky Crest for decades of great memories.
