Surprising my husband for our 40th anniversary i wanted something special. He isn't a camper but i have been reading lately about Glamping and thought that might be another alternative.
This place is amazing!! My husband loved it.
On arrival after parking our car in the parking area, we were met by the owner with his ATV and he transported our luggage and food cooler to our cabin. We followed on foot walking through the forest, on a gravel road.
Our cabin was facing a large pond with trees and granite boulders. Up the stairs and into the screened in porch with a table for two, sofa and a fabulous gas fire pit. Through the glass sliding doors and in front of us was an island with the kitchenette backed by navy blue ship lap. To the left was our bed and off that was the washroom with a lovely carved out boulder for your sink.
Large windows everywhere so you really felt like you were camping in the great outdoors.
We were provided with eggs from their own hens, cream for your coffee and some amazing muffins and fruit yogurt. Added extras that made our day.
The property backs onto a large cottage lake and you have kayaks and canoes at your disposal plus two decks with muskoka chairs where you can sit and watch the cottages on their seadoos. And if you forget your flashlight to get back to your cabin there is a mailbox on a nearby tree with flashlights for the taking. It's the little things!!
You are definitely off the grid here so books, board games, cards and hiking with maybe an extra snooze. There is a great little barbecue and a small gas stove top and a small fridge. All the dished and cutlery you probably would ever need. It rained while we were there but we were glamping not camping so we were more than happy especially with the gas fire pit going.
You are also very close to many small towns for exploring and broadening your horizons.

Pine Brae did not disappoint! Blair met us with the biggest smile and gave us a little orientation session and we got to discover the beautiful cottage that we stayed at for 2 days. Connie prepared little touches that made us seem so welcomed. Lemon ginger loaf, yogurt granola parfait and fresh eggs from their chickens. The experience of glamping was nothing short than amazing!!! The view of the pond, the tranquility, the birds chirping, etc…. The wonderful canoe trip around the lake was beautiful and relaxing. The fact that there is a seating area and docks where you can just hang out is just perfect. Walking in the nature trails in just peaceful. The highlight is definitely the screened in gazebo with the propane fire pit that kept us warm and cozy during our beautiful nights together. Blair and Connie have the perfect getaway for couples. The bed is confortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for your stay! We will definitely make sure that we tell our friends and family to check out this gem of a place.

Accidentally found this place last year and decided we would spend our anniversary here this year. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Blair met us in the parking lot and loaded up our bags in his ATV with trailer. A short walk found us at the most amazing cottage. Everything was perfect. The owners have thought of every last detail and the added touches of fresh eggs, homemade granola, lemon zucchini loaf along with fresh yogurt was much appreciated. Beautiful beautiful 😍 place.

What an amazing place. So relaxing. We stayed and the Coorie cabin. We had so much wildlife to entertain us as we relaxed on the covered deck overlooking the pond. Ducks, beavers, snapper turtles and mersengers thriving in the pond. We also had visits from a young buck on 2 different days as well as a young doe on the day we were leaving. Even a couple of wild turkeys walk through the back while we were relaxing in the cabin. We seen racoons in the distance across the pond playing. The trail are well made and easy to follow to make your way to Long Lake where you can swim, kayak,or go canoeing. Blair is an amazing host and made us feel very welcome right from the time we arrived. Thank you to Connie for the lemon zucchini bread and some fresh eggs that were at our cabin when we arrived. Definitely recommend a stay here if you just need to relax and unwind for a few days. We will definitely be returning.

If your wanting to decompress and get away from it all, Pine Brae is the place to do it. We saw deer everyday, watched a porcupine cross our path, saw a racoon, and watched two beavers play on the pond. And every evening we were serenaded by the bullfrogs. The propane firepit was one of our highlights of the week, cozy and kept us warm on the cooler nights.
The lake front is gorgeous, which includes a 5 minute walk down a beautifully well kept trail, excellent swimming conditions by the water front, kayaking and best of all a fishing tutorial.
Connie and Blair were kind and thoughtful, welcoming us with a zucchini lemon loaf, granola parfait and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. We look forward to coming back next year.

Blair and Connie provided everything we needed for our stay. We did read the directions so we knew no hair dryers are allowed and that we would not have an oven. There's a canoe and kayaks for guest use and a swim platform on Long Lake. The lake is gorgeous, clean and quiet when we were there. We saw a loon family, beavers, heard the bullfrogs sing and made a deer chuff! We brought an extra blanket and binoculars and flashlight as recommended. When you need to disconnect, this is your place. The glamp is very modern and immaculate. Great design. Close to Perth for social interactions. Blair and Connie have done a great job. Go see for yourself.

Pine Brae Eco Resort is a beautiful piece of land to explore with friends or family. Cabins are very well appointed and situated with privacy in mind. We went in October but found the weather to be a bit chilly,so we booked for earlier next year. Blair and Connie are always ready to respond to any of your questions. We found it to be a very peaceful and tranquil spot to get rid of the stress of every day life. Can't wait to get there again.

This was our first glamping experience and it was wonderful! Our cabin (called Coorie) was surrounded by forest and faced a large pond. With lots of big windows and a screened-in porch, we were always looking at a peaceful scene, even from the toilet! The solar-powered fridge kept everything cold and there was good lighting and a ceiling fan. Propane powered the four elements on the stove and gave us good hot water from taps and the shower. The cabin was bright and felt spacious with the efficient design and minimalist style. We ate all our meals on the screened-in porch to feel the breeze and listen to birds calling. We used the Merlin app from Cornell University to record and identify a large number of bird species. Information on local wildlife was provided which was helpful.

A hiking path took us to the lakefront where the swimming, kayaking and canoeing were wonderful. It's a bit of a walk, so be sure to bring everything you need in a bag to avoid having to go back to the cabin. Long Lake is a deep clear lake and there is lots of uninhabited shoreline to visit as well as islands to paddle around. The chairs on a shady platform overlooking the lake were perfectly positioned to enjoy the view or read a book.

Everything at Pine Brae Eco-resort is top-notch and anything you could need has been provided. Blair and Connie are very friendly and live on site if you need help. If you could use a quiet retreat, close to nature, this is the place!

Enjoyed a relaxing long weekend at this well thought out eco cabin. Hard to say if our favourite part was walking on the well maintained trail to the lakefront and lookout, kayaking on the quiet late with the ducks, loons and heron or when a deer and her fawn walked right past the cabin as we sat on the screened in porch.
