Detailed Reviews
My group of friends and I had nothing but an amazing experience here. The rooms were spotless and clean. We had an extra guest staying in our hotel, Gary provided extra towels and comforters. For some reason our satellite service wasn’t working and Gary came and fixed it within 30 seconds. Gary and his wife really took care of all our needs. Gary even drove us and picked us up from town when we needed a lift! I highly suggest staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat. 5 stars!!! Oh and check out the firepit as well, great for some late night fun.

Stayed one night for business... very comfortable spot in beautiful Port Carling with a very friendly staff. Walking distance to the main area (grocery stores & restaurants) Would Definitely stay again. 10/10!

+1
Visited in August 2020 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage which had recently been renovated. Perfect for a family or 2 couples since there is a door separating each room. Great value for the size of space and location. Bonfire in the evening and less than 5 minute drive from Port Carling shops and restaurants. Gary, the Manager is fantastic.

Our stay was very disappointing. First, the good; 1) the sheets appeared to be clean, 2) the room was ready for us when we arrived, and 3) the room appeared to be updated. Second, the not so good; 1) a lot of noise coming into the room from the vehicles on a nearby road, 2) the bathroom floor had dirt in the corners, 3) no top comforter on the two queen beds, 4) no complimentary breakfast as was stated on a website, 5) the restaurant sign displayed a restaurant on site yet there was no functional restaurant, and 6) there was a heavy snowfall and the parking lot was not cleared, the sidewalk was not cleared, not even the steps that led up to our room. Thank goodness for 4x4 or else we would have gotten stuck in the parking lot.

Excellent location less than 2 minutes away from everything one could need (shops, gas, lcbo, groceries, coffee, boat launch, golf, restaurants). The staff was very friendly and incredibly accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. We will certainly be back, cheers!

We stay in August 2021 and enjoyed our stay. The Crestwood is conveniently located in Port Carling. The room was clean and pleasant. We took our boat and went on all three lakes and Gary was very helpful in every way. Recommend this as a great choice while staying in Port Carling.

We visited Port Carling for first time in August 2021. We were recommended to stay at the Crestwood Inn and Gary was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it lacked air conditioning which made for an uncomfortable night sleep. We had to sleep with our windows open but we had little sleep with the neighbours on their deck chairs very close to our windows on the shared veranda.

Thank you for your review Jeanette. I'm sorry the A/C wasn't working for you. I went over and checked it after reading your review and it's working fine. No one has mentioned it wasn't working. Please if you stay with us again and there is something wrong with the room mention it to me and I will be more than happy to try and fix the issue. Thanks

Best place to stay in Port Carling. The Crestwood Inn was very clean and welcoming. My friends and I stayed in The Magnolia Cabin and it was perfect. The owner Gary was the best host! Very friendly and helpful! Thank you Gary we will definitely be back!

We have spent one night in room 3 of the motel. In the night we woke up and discovered lots of bed bugs - some very small but also some quite sizeable. We called reception and were immediately given another room and a 40% discount the next day (taking into account tax paid).
So, management responded quickly, but I am not sure that the problem has not been around before given the size and the number of bugs. And at the prices they charge for quite basic motel rooms you would not expect something like this to ever happen.
PS: I just hope for the benefit of any future guests that a pest-control company has taken care of the issue. Observing the room the next morning, it did not appear to be closed for future guests.

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying at this hotel. We like it. It's clean and a bit more reasonably priced than some accommodations in the area. However, this time I happened to be there when the person in front of me was being checked in. They were last minute arrivals, so management (loudly and in front of me), gave them a discount on their room, because it would otherwise be empty. He indicated that it was nice to help the pocketbook. When it was our turn to register, I inquired if a discount was available. The response was "No." Why? Apparently our information was already in the computer, so we couldn't get a discount. Does this make sense? No. I guess this hotel doesn't need our business! We're happy to go elsewhere.
