We found this hotel quite accidentally after deciding we wanted to get away for several days. Our room with a balcony, overlooked Lake Joseph. It had a fully equipped kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. I have to commend Peter, the owner, who bent over backwards to attend to any issues. His attention to detail and enthusiasm to help made our stay very enjoyable. We had problems with our TV. Peter sent in Edwin, the general manager, to fix it. Edwin was also on hand to help me at the dock with tying and untying the paddle boat. The waterfront is stocked with paddle-boats, kayaks and paddle boards. There is a large inflatable climber and slide that I’m sure families with kids would enjoy. This is a wonderful spot for a vacation. We will return.😀

Where do I start??? We booked last weekend for a much needed getaway to celebrate my birthday. After booking i saw these recent bad reviews and i have to say...was very skeptical to say the least. Upon emailing with Peter...the supervisor...he was unaware of these bad reviews. He invited us to judge for ourselves and what can i say?? Peter was so kind upon arriving on the Friday. We chose room T8 to take full advantage of the perfect waterview. We had an incredible 3 day stay here! It was VERY clean and comfortable! This is by far our new happy place! Whoever wrote these reviews should be ashamed of yourself! It was told to me who had written these and why! And as far as the comment about the front desk gentleman...seriously?? These were totally racist comments...coming from very rude and obviously very unintelligent individuals!!! He was a very sweet person! Very helpful and kind! I feel sick that someone would say this about him! So please do not judge this little piece of paradise by a couple of bad reviews! To be honest these kind of remarks should not be allowed on here! We want to come back over and over!!!

Very misleading as the place is advertised as new and modern - not quite! Very low budget. You have to call someone’s personal cell to get checked in, so you’re standing waiting before anyone greets you. Room was NOT clean and had belongings left in it from past guests. The guy at the desk Edwin also has a VERY STRONG & UNPLEASANT ODOR. Terrible! Will not go back.

I stayed here the last weekend of February. Where do I start? 1. When I arrived, I had to call the front desk person on his cell phone to check me in. 2. When I go to me room for some reason the furniture was moved around so I had to wait until they put the chairs back. (this was definitely not for cleaning purposes.) 3. The room comes with a kitchenette. I went to put my food in the fridge. The fridge hadn't been cleaned. Something has been spilled and not wiped up. There were marks and food particles on the shelves. 4. The utensils were dirty. A couple of them looked like they still had old food on them. 5. Microwave was dirty. I called the front desk person on his cell phone again. He came had a look. Apologized and then asked if I could go somewhere for about 30 minutes so they could give my room a good cleaning. (Really? I have to leave?) Once I returned the room had been cleaned, but the next day I went to use the toaster that was in a drawer and it still had breadcrumbs all over it. The thermostat didn't work so I couldn't turn the heat down. My room was at 28 c. I ended up leaving my window open to cool it off. Still only got down to 23 c. I dropped something on the floor and when I stooped to pick it up I saw under the bed. Thank goodness it was when I was packing up to leave because there was garbage and a bottle cap under the bed, and lots and lots of dirt. I will never ever go back to this place again.
