The property is littered with cigarette butts, garbage and dog poop, watch where you're stepping!! Staff DO NOT wear masks or follow covid protocols, spend most of their time socializing with each other and are frequently rude to guests. Some training in guest management would be a great idea for this hotel. The location is loud, next to the highway, gas station and truck stop. If you're looking for a safe quiet hotel avoid this place and spend a little more money. Local police and OPP are here daily due to the sketchy nature of staff and guests. Choice Hotels Corporate should be investigating this place.

In my 2 day stay here the front desk staff NEVER wore a mask, neither did any but 1 of the guests. I understand some people have medical exemptions, but an entire hotel? BS.. The hotel staff seem to refuse to both wear and request mask usage. They must assume that due to low Covid numbers in their region they are safe, but this hotel is literally a stone's throw away from the 401 and travellers come from anywhere - I was very disappointed in the health and safety protocols. Won't ever stay at a Comfort Inn again.

This section along the 401 Port Hope is absolutely atrocious with garbage. The grounds of the Comfort Inn had more garbage than grass (and surrounding area). Felt like PPE was needed to walk anywhere... don't go here...

First we get there and we are told the key cards don't work! So everytime you go out... You have to go to the desk to be let back in. Fun. So we get to our "Jacuzzi Suite" ... Where the frig is the jacuzzi???? "Oh we renovated and no longer have them" On their HUGE sign outside it still says Jacuzzi rooms. The door to our room said "Jacuzzi Suite" .. we booked and paid for a jacuzzi suite.. how does that happen? Next the fireplace didn't work. There were ugly cables hanging out of the walls from where the tubs were.. the bathroom ceiling looked like it had been painted by a monkey with a tremor. There are also a LOT of sketchy a** people who seem to live there. Would not recommend. Will not visit again.
