We visited for 2 nights in August, staying on a waterfront site. We really enjoyed the relaxed vibe and family friendly atmosphere. Staff were amazing, giving us tips on where to go and what to see on the island. Clean facilities and great swimming.

The lakeside campsites were beautiful! The owners were kind and helpful. It was nice to be able to access the wifi after camping for over a week with no connection. The swimming area was clear and the option to rent kayaks or canoes was one of the reasons we stayed there. We were camping with our dog and he was...

The staff are very friendly and helpful the cabin was clean, plain and small. We stayed in a cabin so small need to go outside to think. I would not use the word resort but a very nice camp ground. The nightly fire was a big hit

We were so surprised at how lovely this resort is set up. Great for families, lovely sandbox, comfortable cabins with never ending hot water, super friendly hostess, playground area, fireflies, hammock in the trees on beautiful Lake Huron just a short drive to the ferry, we had a memorable night, we will be back!

Campsites available right on the waterfront! The staff was so nice and the area was just gorgeous. We actually had decent privacy, considering that we were on the water. There were clumps of trees separating us from other sites. Not the most private site ever, but not bad. Bathroom facilities were pretty clean. We only stayed one night but I...

Our first ever family vacation (we had an almost three year old and almost one year old at the time) exceeded all our expectations after spending it at South Bay Resort. A family owned home away from home that is so incredibly welcoming! The views were picturesque, the cabin we had was perfect, the location could not have been better...

This was our first time staying in South Baymouth. My experience started with the 367 questions I had prior to actually booking. When I called, the women I spoke to went above and beyond answering everything, offering suggestions, and not once did she seem annoyed or bothered. I booked Cabin 6. When I called back a couple days before traveling...

.. but never left this one. It was just too nice and the staff were great, they welcomed us in like friends and helped us with our enquiries, they even lent us some camping essentials. Overall this is a peaceful well catered for resort providing great fishing and it is close to the ferry line (~1 mile). We would really...

My sister stayed at this resort a few weeks ago and just loved it! She went with her two boys (5 and 9) and they had a blast exploring, playing at the beach, hiking, etc. My sister sent me a picture of herself relaxing in a hammock while the boys played in water....she said it was a wonderful relaxing vacation!...

Rented a cabin here in August for two nights. Nice place with nice little cabins, the staff were friendly for the most part, and the resort had a great little beach to go swimming. Our only problem with it was the street lights that are in front of the cabins on from dark till 12, they ruined the evening camp...
