Our stay was pleasant - rooms were quiet - everything was clean - had towels and bathroom requirements available in the room as expected. Good channels on the TV. We just stayed one night but would return. If you need to use the refridgerator you might want to ask them to be sure to turn it on prior to your arrival as otherwise it will be off and will take a while to cool down.

This is in a great location to hit downtown for food, drink, shopping and close to Port Burwell beach. The bed was very comfy. The room and hotel is very dated. It was very clean but just really dated. Toilet was running and dripping most of the night and the exhaust fan kept jamming and grinding when using it in the bathroom. Also, don't come expecting a breakfast. You can get a bag with yogurt and a granola bar to go, and I was told you can get a frozen breakfast sandwich to reheat. However, after they ran out of cream at 8:30 a.m. So yeah, comfy place, just make sure you are coming to sleep and expect nothing else! McDonalds and Tims are 5 minutes away so plan your breakfast there!

Another great stay at the HoJo. Love this place. Friendly staff, always clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Looking forward to next stay! Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant that is attached but one of the guest said the food there is great and reasonably priced.

We booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the nearby Burning Kiln winery. Booking online was easy. The check-in process was fine, as the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The building is quite dated and had a musty smell. Our guestroom also had a smell. The air conditioning worked, although seemed to be either on full blast or not at all. Our bedding had stains on it, as did our mattresses and lampshade. There appeared to be cracks in the ceiling. We had no shower curtain for the bathtub. There was no real closet, rather a small rack to hang clothes beside one of the beds. We also felt that we could clearly hear other guests in their rooms, from our room. The breakfast that was included consisted of self-serve instant oatmeal packets, individually bagged bagels which could be toasted, granola bars, Oasis juice boxes, and a coffee/tea station.

In a town with few, if any, hotel/motel options, Howard Johnson is likely the best option for a local stay. The room itself was clean but dated. The facilities were functional and the location was good. If you want a more luxurious stay, there are more hotel options in Ingersoll. For us, it served it's purpose. P.S. Do visit the Off Grid Smokehouse located beside the hotel. Great food and good value!

The hotel was and will always be my favourite place to stay in Tillsonburg, the staff was very polite and welcoming. The room was clean, great wifi and the T.V had plenty of channels to choose from. And the attached restuarant was divine, i highly recommend it

I love everything about the Howard Johnson in Tillsonburg. Everyone was very friendly and nice. The owner make everyone that comes in the door feel welcome. The room was clean. It’s definitely the place to go.

The people that work here are really great and friendly. We had some issues with one of the staff not activating our password for internet, but it was corrected quickly. We were in town for a family emergency, and I had to extend our stay and had no issues. Room was very clean. Just a minor maintenance issue with the shower and toilet draining slowly. But they are older buildings, so understandable.

The staff was friendly and efficient. When I had an issue with one room, I was quickly and kindly moved to another. When visiting Tillsonburg, I would stay at this hotel again. Breakfasts were grab bags; I suggest a more substantial breakfast bar. Other than that, all good!
