This our second visit i was not disappointed. I love everything in this place. The room is spacious and well arranged to accommodate a family of 6. I love the 2 separate toilet and shower room each with it is own sink making it easy for someone to take a shower and another if anyone need the washroom. I love the big closet which my kids used as dressing room. I love the arrangement of the room .
I love that we had breakfast package making it easy for us to get free, eat and go out.

Really happy with a lot, notably the price. Toronto hotels were more expensive than I remembered them so this was good to have as an option. Pool was nice, breakfast was ok/standard, room was nicely sized. When you have 5 family members looking for a room its tough to find places without going expensive suite level so we are used to being creative in terms of places and travel and giving on amenities like location. I was also looking to use points- so with points and 5 people in the family, there weren't a lot of options and this place generally worked out pretty well. And still the place felt just a little too far out of Toronto (we were going to a Blue Jays game and to see Hamilton). With traffic, it's like 45 min minimum to the main attractions,. Even though parking is incredibly cheap for a major city, that drive takes away from a lot. So, I probably wouldn't do it again if I was going for anything (work or tourism) that was downtown. You also feel like you're tucked behind a walmart, which leaves something to be desired. So, definitely a value play and the hotel is pretty nice once you're inside and if you're doing something in that area rather than Toronto downtown, it would work well but not really for the typical Toronto tourist I don't think.

Check in was easy and they got us into our rooms early as we got to town ahead of schedule. Extended Queen suite was very spacious and perfect for a small family.

Right beside Walmart, this hotel also has a restaurant on site and a full complimentary breakfast in the morning. We ate at the restaurant… unfortunately they only had one staff member serving and it’s was a Saturday Night with a hotel full of hockey teams. The male server did the best he could with what he was provided. Took over 45 min to get our drinks and about 40 min after that our food, which ended up being ice cold. Again no fault to the server as he was definitely set up for failure and we hadn’t eaten so cold chicken was better than no chicken!

Breakfast was very large and EVERYONE in your family will be able to find something to gnaw on!

Lots of parking and easy access to the highway, Great location to stay.

The staff there is always a pleasure, and always willing to help.

Overall a decent stay at a 3-star hotel, though a bit more effort could be invested in cleanliness.
We stayed for 12 nights in a double queen room. We did not use the sofa bed as it was really dirty. We had to clean the microwave in our room and didnt dare use the coffee maker.
It did not seem the public pool was cleaned regularly either, as we noticed things such as band aids and hair bands lying around for some days. A clock at the pool area showed the wrong time (by several hours and minutes) during our whole stay.
There is something really off with a couple of the breakfast servers, one of whom seems to be a senior member of staff/manager. While she was jovial with non-POC, she wouldnt spare a smile for our family and similarly interracial or mixed-race guests.
Among others, they serve breakfast coffee in paper cups... but while I was provided with a mug for the first couple of mornings (on request), when I asked her on the third day she made such a scene about how "we don't do this during breakfast time" that I was really uncomfortable to ask for a mug the rest of our stay there. Another weird thing is that one day we had an early morning and were reassured we'll be given to-go boxes to fill up (bare in mind they're small boxes that fit one bagel and a couple sausages on top of it). I could not believe it when they insisted that it's just two boxes per room... even though we are a family of three.
The cherry on the cake is that despite this attitude and the fact breakfast is self service, a server would remind you, every morning, to leave a tip!
The food items don't change: in 12 days we only had strawberries once instead of a macedonia salad, while sausages were sometimes swapped with bacon.
We did suggest pancakes/waffles (we were asked for suggestions), but this request never materialised.
Thankfully, the rest of the staff is quite pleasant, including the receptionists and housekeeping staff.
One tip: Try asking for a quiet room when you book. We did, and were given a room on the topmost floor not facing the highway. You will still hear the highway traffic as windows are not soundproof. You will also hear every little noise on the landing. There's a gap of around an inch between the floor and the bottom of the front door, so light (and noise) seeps in at night.
The way the bathroom door is designed is not ideal as it's seethrough, situated at the foot of the beds, and is a sliding, noisy one. This means whenever someone needs to use it at night, the rest of the roommates will be woken up.
We found several silverfish in our room.
The ac can be moderated by guests in each room.
Hotel is 20 minutes on foot from the metro station, from where you can take line 1 to downtown Toronto. It's also not far from the airport.

Dear Sarah C, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us identify areas for improvement and ensure that we provide a better experience for all our guests. Firstly, I’m glad to hear that you found our reception and housekeeping teams pleasant and that you appreciated the room location we provided based on your request for a quiet stay. However, I am deeply sorry for the shortcomings you experienced during your visit, particularly regarding cleanliness and breakfast service. Please rest assured that we take your concerns very seriously. Cleanliness is one of our top priorities, and I am truly sorry that your room and the pool area were not up to our usual standards. We have addressed this with our housekeeping team to ensure that such lapses are immediately corrected. As for the microwave, coffee maker, and sofa bed, I will personally ensure that they are inspected and maintained properly moving forward. I would also like to sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had with the breakfast service and for the discomfort you felt during your interactions with our staff. Please know that we do not tolerate any form of discrimination at our hotel, and I will be conducting a thorough investigation to address the situation you described. Your comments will be discussed with the team to prevent such behavior in the future, as this is not reflective of the welcoming environment we strive to create. Regarding the limited to-go boxes and the tipping reminders, I understand how this could have been frustrating for your family. We will review our policy and the way we communicate it to ensure it is applied fairly and appropriately. We also value your feedback about the breakfast variety, and I’m sorry your request for pancakes/waffles wasn’t accommodated during your stay. We will take this into account as we work to improve our menu offerings. Lastly, I appreciate your feedback on the room layout and design elements, such as the sliding bathroom door and the lack of soundproofing. While these design choices are not something we can immediately change, your feedback is invaluable as we look to enhance the overall guest experience in the future. Once again, I apologize for the inconveniences you faced, and have a wonderful day.

The accommodations provided by this establishment left much to be desired. One of the main issues was the size of the rooms, which were simply too small, making it uncomfortable for guests to move around freely. Additionally, the outdated rooms and furniture gave a rather unwelcoming impression, making it difficult for visitors to fully relax during their stay.

Another significant concern was the lack of privacy in the bathroom. This aspect is essential for guests seeking a peaceful and undisturbed experience. The absence of proper privacy measures in the bathroom created discomfort and inconvenience for those sharing the room.

Moreover, the room advertised to sleep five people was inadequate for such occupancy. Even with the maximum number of guests, the space was insufficient, resulting in a cramped and uncomfortable sleeping arrangement.

In conclusion, this establishment falls short in providing a satisfactory guest experience. The rooms' small size, lack of bathroom privacy, and outdated facilities and furniture make it difficult to recommend this place for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Potential visitors should consider these factors before making their booking decisions.

Stayed a week in Springhill Suites in August. We had 3 weeks between houses, and spent 1 week at Springhill.
Room was excellent, exceeded our expectations. Walk-in closet, 2 bathrooms, sitting area, very comfortable King bed. It even has a well-designed office nook for work and wet bar with fridge. Wifi signal is excellent. Room is spacious and very clean, quiet considering hotel is next to Hwy400. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is generous, has hot items - bacon, eggs, sausages. Lots of fruits, decent coffee, croissants, yoghurts, etc.
Nearby in Woodbridge, plenty of good Italian restaurants.
We stayed at Hampton Inn prior to this hotel. Although both are priced the same, Springhill is much, much better that Hampton in all counts, We will not hesitate to stay in Springhill Suites again and again..

We stayed here in September 2022 for a night while out in Vaughan and Toronto. Other than our room card not working the first time (and having to go back down to the reception to get it fixed), it was a good stay! Room (king bed) was huge, it included a separate whirlpool tub and sitting area with a sofa bed. You can easily fit 4 people with no issue. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable, and we had no issues with any noise from the highway. No complaints!

Upon check in, we were told that there was a $5 charge for parking. They waved that fee when they saw the look on my husband's face. The lobby was nice, room was basic and clean. Ice maker was empty on our floor (6th), tried another floor which didn't have an ice maker. Ended up heading down to the lobby to get ice. There is a lot of freeway noise, basically a constant hum day and night. The other negative was that the coffee maker in the room didn't work and there was no coffee available in the lobby when we left. Just not a great visit.

Dear Klpdvm, I’m sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Charging for parking is a normal occurrence but I’m glad that my team offered a kind gesture and waived it for you. I will certainly look into the coffee maker and although that should not have happened, I do wish that you had advised us and we would have replaced it for you immediately. I thank you for choosing to stay with us and I hope you would give us another chance if your travels bring you to Vaughan again so that we can show you our true hospitality and improve upon your opinion of us. My family and I chose this hotel based on the reviews. We usually stay at another place but the prices were high for our length of stay. I always wanted to try SpringHill Suites out in Canada. The room was pretty nice and clean. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower, which was a little unusual but it was fine. There were a couple of hiccups during our stay. Our tv would turn off after 30 seconds of turning it back on. The front desk took care of that immediately. Also, on our 2nd night there, there were these 4 guys slamming the doors on our floor from 12am - 4 am. They were going in and out of their rooms and roaming the hallway while on their phones. I called the front desk around 1 am and was told that they would send security upstairs to take care of it. I guess security was off for the weekend because they were still roaming the halls and slamming the doors till 4 am. Housekeeping was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was efficient and the staff taking care of it were friendly. The front desk, not so friendly. Whenever we pass by the front desk, we're accustomed to greetings and smiles. The front desk here doesn't do that. They don't give eye contact or smile and believe that silence is golden. I also noticed that nobody has name tags on them. The reason I am saying that is because I wanted to say hi to someone I spoke with on the phone prior to checking in. She was pretty helpful. Sadly, I didn't know who the mystery phone person was. We stayed at another Marriott hotel after checking out of this one. They have a sign on our hotel door that says "For your security, all employees must be wearing name tags." Honestly, no one at Spinghill Suites was wearing their name tags. This is almost a five star place for us, but the lack of customer service and friendliness dropped it for me.

Also, there's a $5 a day parking here. I read one of the reviews that there's no charge for parking and that's wrong.

All in all, it was a nice stay if we ignore the front desk.

Dear hypermom, Thank you for taking the time to write this balanced and informative review. While I was happy that this was "almost a 5 star stay" for you, I was saddened to hear that our Front Desk team did not meet you expectations, or ours. We strongly believe that an engaged and welcoming team is required to ensure a great guest experience and that the Front Desk, being the first and last impressions our guests receive of the hotel. I am sorry we did not provide you with the warm welcome and gratitude you deserved as one of our guests. I will be monitoring this to ensure that all of the team at the Front Desk are engaging with our guests and doing everything required to make eye contact, engage in conversation and offer friendly service. This is not the typical response we hear about our team and I want to make sure that we do not hear comments like this again. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. It is in fact our policy for all staff to wear nametags and I will be double checking to make sure this is being followed. Thank you again for the fair review and I hope that we have the opportunity to host you in the future so we can demonstrate that the reception you described is not typical and that providing a warm and welcoming environment is what we strive for. Regards, Kareem O'Brien Front Office Manager

It’s too bad there isn’t a rating between average and very good. This hotel was just good in my opinion. The good. The staff was attentive and very pleasant. They handled a request for towels very quickly, the cleaning staff was pleasant and the breakfast staff took their job seriously during COVID which I liked. The room was a nice size and good value. My complaint is for a relatively new hotel the soundproofing sucked. We could hear our neighbours all the time and when World War III broke out in their room it was uncomfortable. But you could also hear everything in the halls even when people were just talking but when people leave early or arrive late it’s an annoyance. All in all I would go back as the good outweighs the bad.
