My wife and I spent a couple of nights in February and absolutely loved our stay! Our room was comfortable, the hotel was warm and welcoming and the daily coffee/scones and evening cookie were such a lovely gesture. The staff emits good energy and takes care of all your needs. We highly recommend this property and can't wait to come back!

This was my second overnight visit to the Devonshire and as expected it was a great stay.

The hotel team is very welcoming and helpful from the point of reservation to checkout. The grounds are beautifully decorated featuring unique antiques and showcasing local contemporary artists. Shared common areas now have to be reserved to make sure they are cleaned properly between uses – their COVID cleaning protocols are very intricate.

The on-site restaurant is a popular spot for the locals as well, we had both dinner and breakfast there and it was wonderful from greeting to billing. The cocktail selection is quite nice and every room right now has a complimentary bottle of local wine.

The hotel location is perfect for a visit to the wine country and close to some cool bars and local shops.

If you travel during the week the rates are slightly lower and come with a few extra perks.

I had the most comfortable stay at the Drake Devonshire this past month.
Went during the work-week to force myself not to do any work, and I was glad of it.
The cleanliness was impeccable, and the décor of my room was charming: with a calming scent, sound of the waves, and loads of light.

The staff were very friendly, polite and responsive. I loved that when asked for tea, they brought an full tea-pot right to my door (touchless service, as part of their COVID protocols).

The guests seemed to be respectful of the noise and COVID protocols, so it was quiet at night and no issues with mask-wearing or hand sanitizing. Made it less stressful when navigating the common areas.

The blanket and s'mores kit, writing kit (with Kinsip hand sanitizer), and complimentary bottle of house wine were also nice touches.

(I only wonder why they don't use Canadian made toiletries...)

Combined, I was so relaxed when I left, I'm already thinking of my next stay.

We had wanted to try this hotel for some time, and when we saw the Instagram post re a New Years Eve Party we took the plunge and booked an overnight stay to attend. The hotel is charming and whimsical with great service - especially front desk and bar and wait staff. The rooms are not large but comfortable enough and there is plenty to do on the property as well as in the village itself. The location cannot be beat - literally on the lakeshore with waves at the doorstep! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the summer.

I recently spent two nights at the Devonshire Inn. It was my first time to the County and I will definitely be going back. Located right on the water, the property was absolutely stunning even in the middle of January! My room was bright, very spacious, adorably outfitted, and the partial view of the lake was breathtaking. I was extremely impressed by the Inn's customer service and attention to detail. Although Covid protocols did not allow for in restaurant dining, anything I needed was only a text away! The staff were extremely friendly and engaging and went above and beyond to assist with anything I needed.I am in love with the welcome gift of Lavender scented hand sanitizer!! Thank you to all of you at the Inn for such a wonderful stay! I'll be back again soon.

We went to the Drake Devonshire for my 40th birthday. It cost us $2100 for two rooms for one night, plus a 300 dollar dinner. It was a huge disappointment. The rooms were old and shabby. The furniture was ugly and not at all in keeping with the aesthetic of the Drake. There were no amenities. Dinner was a huge disappointment. Terrible service. Long wait. With kids. Surprisingly Bad food. They ran out of complementary cookies and after a 30min wait they gave us one (for a party of 6). When I let them know they were not responsive. The beach was the only thing that lived up to expectations. A huge waste of time and money. I left in tears.

No doubt the Drake Devonshire is a destination for many celebration/special weekends, but we were so touched to find a bottle of sparkling in our room upon arrival to kick off our anniversary weekend. We felt very well taken care of - a simple text for a bucket of ice, help with a cab or morning coffee. Lovely service with no pretention.

We booked the drake as we read it was a nice place to visit, our room was in the motel part of the Drake, we are travelling with two small children 1 and 3 years old.

Our room was placed on the second floor which was very easy with a stroller, the room was for us also very cold and noisy with the airco. So we switched it off and we woke up cooked in the morning. Also the beds are not comfortable.. The fridge makes a big noise..

We are not complainers but you expect more if you pay close to 700$ a night.. next time we will book the four seasons for this price :-)

Food and restaurant was good but overpriced. Staff can be a bit more friendly and the hosting desk for guiding you to the table can be better organised.

We stayed at the Drake Devonshire for a small business leadership off-site. Our team was very well welcomed, the staff was attentive to our needs and fast to answer our last-minute requests. We felt very safe throughout the 3-day stay, everyone was wearing a mask and all the safety measures were respected at all times. It felt so nice to be able to get together and enjoy the beautiful view offered by the hotel in this context!

The rooms were impeccable, and the food was delicious. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to get away for a few days!

We visited the Devonshire for a second year a row during the wintertime and it was just as good as we remembered from the first time. A cosy atmosphere, extremely attentive staff, and consistently yummy food. I loved the feeling of walking down the stairs to grab a coffee from the lobby first thing in the morning and feeling like I was in a bed and breakfast rather than a stuffy hotel. We stayed here during the week, which meant we had to get a bit of computer work done; there are plenty of cozy little nooks to settle into with a coffee and a macbook.

Doesn’t seem to have a formal code. No swim suits or b each wear, but nice shorts with a button -up would work for men, I wore a summer dress. It’s about the food!

Didn't see that room but likely does. Our room had them. The hotel has all of the amenities of a high end establishment in an unexpected package.
