Welcome to Argyle Shore Waterview Cottages! We are a small, family-run cottage business on the PEI's South Shore. We have six clean and well-equipped, 3 bedroom cottages, with water views. Located right next door to Argyle Shore Provincial Park; one of the best places to experience PEI's red cliffs and changing of the tides. Explore the beach to find starfish, sea glass, crab, jellyfish, oysters, clams and so much more! The cottages are centrally located on PEI, between Charlottetown, Cavendish, and Summerside. The picturesque fishing village, Victoria by the Sea is just 10 minutes away. Whether you prefer napping in the sun, splashing in the water, building a sandcastle, enjoying a leisurely stroll, or relaxing by the campfire, Argyle Shore is the place to be.
We stayed in the cottage 2 in early July. We were there with 3 other families, so we had 4 of the 6 cottages. All those cottages had the same layout, which was quite large. There were 3 bedrooms, a nice size bathroom, and a kitchen/living room with a fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The microwave wasn’t very strong though.
The grounds weren’t quite nice, and very large. There is a huge grassy area with lots of space for kids to run around and play. There’s a playground, swings, and a basketball net. Further down the road, which leads to the beach, there is the Argyle Shore Provincial park, there is another playground. The beach wasn’t very swimable, and those were a ton of jelly fish. It was cool to see them stranded during low tide.
There is a washer/dryer on site. It’s $1 per load, and they provided the tabs. You cannot use them during certain hours during the day though.
Although there is wifi, it only worked for the first day or two. After that the wifi was very spotty, and we had to use data.
Overall, these cottages were pretty great. It was very clean, and quite spacious. A great family spot!

My friends and I had a great weekend celebrating a friends birthday at Argyle Shore Waterview Cottages. The space was a perfect fit for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the provincial park right next door, were the perfect distance to both Charlottetown and the bridge, and had all the amenities we could have needed within the cottage. Will definitely be returning!

This campground is a hidden gem. We have travelled all across Canada and stayed at many campgrounds along the way. I would rate this one as a 10 out of 10. Beautiful property grounds immaculate. Great walking to the beach just 10 minutes away. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. I don't have one negative thing to say on this property. There are only 10 sites for RV's so I would imagine it does get booked up quickly.

Wow what a wonderful spot! Incredibly clean, new, well equiped cottage. There are 6 cottages beside each other and we had the best time. There were 3 adults and 4 kids in a 3 bedroom cottage which was perfect. This cottage had everything you ever needed...talk about a home away from home. It was awesome. The cottages are right beside a provinicial day use park. You can walk to the park for use of the beach and playground equipment. Also at the cottages there are fire pits, a big open field to play soccer or throw a football or whatever you want to do. All the cottages were booked when we were there and it was still soooo quiet it was awesome. Gayle owns the cottages and she is so accomodating and easy going, very friendly and extremely nice. She even has laundry facilities which is unheard of. It is a $1.00 for a washer load and $1.00 for a dryer load and you just have to leave the money in the cottage. We were so happy staying here I would highly recommend this cottage....it was perfect and so well equipped....it had a fridge, stove, 3 bedrooms, jaccuzzi tub, barbeque, patio furniture, deck....like I said...perfect! Excellent location too, close to the bridge, 45 mins to Cavendish. I would highly recommend Argyle Shores...you will not be disappointed!!

These cute cottages were the best! We stayed August 2012. They face the water and are set up so you still have some privacy too. The owners live on site and are constantly working! These were the cleanest accomodations we had in the week and a half of our eastern trip. There was even firewood provided for the fire pits. We stayed 2 nights. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. You can see the ocean from the deck. BBQ's are provided. Laundry was on site and very reasonable cost - I think it was 1.00 per load. But most spectacular were the tides. The cottages are right beside a provincial park (no admission charge). We went to the beach early afternoon and the water was at normal levels. We went back at 8:30 at night and the ocean had disappeared! It was amazing. We walked down on the beach where the water used to be. My 13 year old son tried digging for clams, but we didn't have a shovel - remember to bring one!

Clean, clean, clean...did I say clean? These cottages are like brand new and kept spotless. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Five women were on this trip and we slept very comfortably in the cottage. You can see the ocean form the cottages. You could walk to the ocean within 7 - 8 minutes. The location is directly adjacent to a Provincial Park, which is absolutely beautiful. Again, the walk would be 7 - 8 minutes, or you can drive to the park in a couple of minutes.
Appliances in the cottages are new and very clean. If you are not able to find something on your own, the owner has lists of items and where you can find them. Linens are provided (though towels to use at the beach are not....not a big deal at all).
The cottages are located approximately 20 - 25 minutes from Charlottetown. Not a bad drive at all...very easy. I will definitely stay here again, if and when I visit PEI. No complaints, whatsoever!!!!!

We stayed at Argyle Shore when our children were little in the early 2000's. We like it so much we came back 4 years in a row. This was our first time back in 12 years and it is still as great as I remember it. The cottages are perfect. Three bedrooms, generous bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower, small living room and kitchen dining and an amazing deck. The cottages have everything you could ever need, and if it doesn't Gayle will try and help you out. The grounds are immaculately maintained with lots of room for kids to play, even fly a kite if you want.
The proximity ot Argyle Shore Provincial Park is the the icing on the cake. 5 minutes walk from your cottage you can be in the water at anytime.
The south side of the island is not the expensive tourist trap that the North side is, but is still breathtaking. The cottages are 15 minutes from a grocery store and liquor store, and only a 40 minute drive from the beaches and touristy stuff on the North side of the island.
Thanks Terry and Gayle for another great stay!

What a beautiful cottage. We stayed one night to visit friends and relatives. We were able to have a bbq and an outdoor fire. The cottage is located in a beautiful section of PEI. Our host, Gayle was excellent. I would definitely visit this cottage again. It was immaculate, and decorated with the traveler in mind!
