Our family and I had a terrific time at this beautiful property. The beach was perfect for exploring at low tide with the kids and dogs. Robert was a gracious and accommodating host that made sure to share his knowledge of the area whenever possible. His property was beautifully maintained and the facilities (ie: laundry, rinse off station for pets and people, fire pits) were such an added bonus. Our cottage was beautiful, well equipped and spotless, and our beds comfortable. We couldn’t have had a more perfect home base for exploring other areas of the island. We really enjoyed everything about our stay, and look forward to visiting again.

Robert and his family provide the perfect home away from home. The cottages are rustic on purpose, but with many new upgrades like windows and furniture. My husband and I stayed here in 2018 and had to bring the family back. This time we stayed in the largest cottage, #8. Loads of space for the 6 of us, with nearly everything we needed. My children loved the playground out front and having beach access just a few steps away. We look forward to coming back again!

We loved staying at Blue Spruce Cottages. While rustic and retro it was so clean, the grounds well maintained, and the owner and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We loved how warm the waters of the beach were compared to our NS beaches and the sand bars at low tide made for fun time with our dogs. If you are looking for upscale accommodations, move along. These cottages aren't fancy but very homey and made for relaxing and kicking back. We practically lived in the rocking chairs on our front porch: breakfast and coffee in the morning, chilling in the afternoon, supper and drinks in the evening. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean and not worn out like we've experienced in cottages elsewhere. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be that sometime in future the business would consider selling amenities like firewood, kindling, bug spray, and sunscreen on site and maximise that revenue stream while offering the convenience of on site availability. We both really enjoyed our stay in late June, 2022.

Thank you Alison for posting your review. We are glad you found the place to be relaxing. We also appreciate the input. In fact, we had already started making plans for selling firewood on site and will explore the possibility of other amenities. Thanks again!

I have been coming to the island for 21 years. This was my first year at Blue Spruces, but it won’t be the last! During my two week stay I had the opportunity to stay in two different cottages. Week one was in a quaint cottage on the back row was very good and I enjoyed my week there. The rooms have full sized beds and the living room is very comfortable. I loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The grounds are lovely, there is a lot of yard area and a playground for children. The main draw is the beautiful beach. My dogs and I went down at least twice per day, sometimes for or five times! It’s quiet and the water in September was still quite warm. Low tide was perfect for a long walk or run. Hurricane Dorian hit the island during the middle of my visit which was a hitch but obviously that was out of our control. The owner Robert went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and safe! Week two I moved to one of the newer cottages and as much as I liked my other cottage, this was my favorite. All cottages are clean and comfortable but I prefer the queen beds, bathtub and deck on these. I really felt like I was home! Other nice extras include laundry on site, fire pits and barbecues. Friendly neighbors as well, I met so many kind people on this visit! And I cannot day enough about the owner, he really is extremely hospitable and goes out of his way to accommodate any needs! Overall, my stay was wonderful and I have already booked for 2020! I wish I could give it more than five stars!

Wow, everything was beyond our expectations. The cottages are clean, the view is astonishing. My friends and I came when the Hurricane Dorian hit P.E.I. and the cottages had no problem withstanding extreme winds. We will come back for sure! We are in love with the place!

We found this little gem on google and book unit # 6. It is lovely rustic, ocean view, full kitchen and two rooms. Bring along some groceries and your good to go. Great price! The road is a little rough driving in but take your time. We will book again for sure.

This is a stunning location...the views are beyond all expectations. At low tide there are lots of tide pools to explore and sandy beautiful beach for days. The cabins are cozy and very clean. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Location is in the middle of everything you are only 30 mins to either cavendish or Charlottetown.

We arrived late in the afternoon on a Sunday. Robert, the owner, was waiting for us to ensure our arrival would go smoothly. We had booked a 2-bedroom cottage although it was just for the two of us. The kitchen was completely inventoried (it could use an island counter. Counter space is at a premium). Every room was spotless. The bathroom had good, soft towels. The bed linens were clean and crisp. This was a 5-star accommodation we did not expect and thoroughly appreciated. Robert is new to PEI and has taken over Blue Spruces from a previously poorly-managed business. It certainly isn't like that now and well worth staying there. It's about 30 minutes from Charlottetown, and a great starting point for driving around Canada's beautiful island province. The larger cottages are new. The smaller ones are being renovated and upgraded. The view from all of the cottages is so beautiful and peaceful. We were there for awesome sunsets and a blustery, hard-rain storm. Thrilling! There's a separate building where one can do their laundry as well. Thanks again to Robert for such caring and attention to detail.
