We stayed here for five nights while on vacation. We had an excellent stay at the Silverwood. The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had thought we might be quite late and they have a self check in process in case you arrive after office hours. The room we had had a full stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. If you want to brew coffee in your room, do remember to bring coffee, filters etc. However, the office has coffee brewed that you can help yourself to. The pool around back is lovely and the kiddo enjoyed swimming in it. It was a decent size for a casual swim and for kids to play in the water. The deep end is well marked with a line of buoys. It's very central to the various activities in the area and is literally across the road from the tourist mart, which is highly convenient. We've already decided, next time we go to PEI, we're staying here.

Cavendish is a fun village on PEI, close to national park, beautiful miles long beaches, fun parks, best sea food, shops and different light houses. We love the place and every body got a "Wow!!!" when we stepped in the suite room at Silverwood motel. The room is super big and clean, with full kitchen and a backdoor to BBQ and an outdoor pool. The owner is quite knowledgeable and friendly, gave us lots of advises, helped us find the best places to see and the best restaurants as well. We even bought a fresh lobster and cooked in our room, that is amazing tasty. We spent two relaxing fun days there after a challenging week at Cape Breton. The quality and the price of the stay is unbeatable good (accommodation and sea food). We will definitely come back and stay longer and recommend this hotel to friends.
The only problem is dogs are not allowed on national park beaches in summer months, so we found some beautiful and quiet hidden beaches and light houses.

This place is beyond what I was expecting. We got number 22 and it is extremely clean, renovated and it smells good. Perfect location with a family. The playground is right across, we could watch our daughter play. The parking is right at the door. It made our stay in Cavendish. Highly recommend!

I had a frustrating experience with Silverwood Motel. Their cancellation policy stated September 22 as the cut-off, but what they don’t clearly mention is that the deadline is at 12:01 a.m. I called on the 22nd to cancel for a reservation on the 28th and was denied any refund or rescheduling option. It feels like a dishonest way to catch people off guard.
I visit regularly due to my son's school but will never book here again. Be aware of their policies—there are better options elsewhere.

Very run down motel. Front office stank. Overall state of property was disrepair. Grass and weeds growing through the concrete. Shrubbery very unkept. Just run down. For a tourist haven like Cavendish, PEI, I can't believe this property is located where it is. Further, our wifi - and therefore - TV did not work during our stay. Tried to have front desk fix it - they couldn't - blamed it on too many people staying in the area using the internet(?). When I asked for a $25 discount the next morning for our stay because of the lack of TV and wifi, front desk gentleman/owner said he 'could not do that'. No further explanation!

We stayed in room 38: - Ridiculously outdated room - Super overpriced - Doorknob barely hanging on - Curtains detached - Limited hot water for a shower - Brown & Sandy water from faucet - No kitchenette - No coffee maker - No phone - No alarm clock - No cup to rinse mouth after teeth brushing - Smoke detector beeping at 4 am which woke up everyone - Not all plugs working / too loose to hold chargers - Old hard mattresses - Stairs/no trolly - Creaky floors - Bathroom fan is on but doesn’t work - Paying the same price as those on main floor with kitchenette & being able to park at their door - Nobody at reception overnight - Door locked at reception desk at noon

This is a very old unadorned property where you step back 50 years in time! Smelly room with old outdated furnishings. We have a certified (legal papers) emotional support dog and the front desk insisted on charging extra each day we stayed claiming it was not a service animal! A total cash grab and not consistent with pet policies at all other hotels in North America. Plus no television service available. Not worth the huge money we are paying for this flop house motel. Stay elsewhere, if you can!

Find somewhere else to stay. We weren't expecting luxury by any means, but this place was a filthy dump. Within an hour of being there, our socks were completely black! There was splatter of some sort on the walls, drips down the side of the kitchen counter. Doorknob area was black with dirt... A/C unit had visible accumulation of dust. There was a dead fly in the corner upon our arrival. The toilet seat was broken in two ways (seat didn't attach to bowl, lid broken from seat) making it very precarious and dangerous to sit. The side lamp plugged into the wall had a clear cord, which was black/burnt at the plug and hot to the touch. The breaker jumped when we tried to use the hairdryer, leaving us in the dark. The fridge door had none of the "bars" to hold item on the door. What they called a kitchenette was a joke! The table was a wire outdoors bistro set, with crumbs and dirt left behind from many previous guests, stained seat cushions... There was a leftover bobby pin that wasn't ours on the floor. The pool was frigid, despite being advertised as heated. The location was the only redeeming quality, but there is no shortage of places nearby, and we will never set foot in this place again.

Terrible! Nothing like the in-line pictures! Refused to stay. Had booked room by phone, prior to registering asked to see room…room smelled bad, old furniture, bed coverings were very dated..moved on to much better accommodation for a lesser price in another area.

We have stayed here in the past and really enjoyed our stay before. The rooms were older but well kept and very clean. Not so much this trip...found the room not clean(test strip from glucose monitor still on the floor) left in the morning to go out for breakfast and a drive ...when we came back around 3pm the room hadn't been cleaned or bed made. When I went to the office I was told the cleaner wasn't in and she forgot to do it. When we came back a second time, the bed was made and the dirty towels taken but the bathroom still not clean ( hair on the counter and sink) to say the least we won't be back.
