Strange not be able to review the campground other than a tag on this site; however, we have stayed here three times fro 10 to 14 days. This campground has it all and is large enough so the sites are large and many are drive through. For the family there are a lot of activities for children's all ages and the campground is very close to all of the major attractions in Cavendish. for those without children, the campground has a lot of open space and walking area, a small store, restaurant, and close to the shore road in the Provincial Park. Rusico, Chartottetown, and Summerside are all within a half our drive. We picked this location as it is central and we wanted to visit each end of the island easily. The staff are very nice and work very hard to make the stay a pleasant on. Security gate is manned. One of our favorite places.

We traveled with a group in August 2013 and stayed on a tent sites with water and power. Sites were a nice size and had lots of shade. It would have been nicer if the lots had grass or crusher dust down instead of dirt. Our lot had alot of tree roots coming up and when it rained (no it poured) it became a huge mess of puddles on our lot. We had to dig a trench with sandshovels to have the water flow out of our site.

Lots of activities for the children. Store had very good prices. Staff was very friendly. The bathrooms were being cleaned on a very regular basis which was very nice. Had a nice little bike/skateboard park for the kids. Also they rent r/c cars which is fun for the kids.

We did have a concern with the petting zoo it had an electric fence at the same level our children put their arms through the fence. This should be unplugged in the day or mesh put around the bottom of the fence to keep the animals in. Our children touched the fence and got a shock. Not very child friendly.

But overall an awesome campground we will be back.....maybe even this year.

The staff there was so friendly. They have a big camp ground/back yard.
The Inn looks lovely and it's very clean inside. The locks on the door are a bit weird.
THE BEST THING is their BREAKFAST. They give you these coupons to a real restaurant called Rachel's and their food is AMAZING.
We also saw a cute kitten there and played with it for a while...
Location is great too. Right next to Green Gables and National Park.

Marco polo sets itself up as a family campground. It has great playgrounds, kids activities and wagon rides. But it also has dirty unstocked washrooms, garbage on the ground, and campers partying outside until the wee hours while security drives past and doesn't enforce the noise policy at all. I certainly won't bring my family there again.

Marco Polo had been recommended to us by a fellow camper in Nova Scotia. Thinking we would love it, especially our 4 kids, we booked a 4 night stay. We will be canceling the rest of our stay. The rules about strict quiet hours by 11pm and no noise disturbances that bother campers will be tolerated are a joke. At 12:45 AM I called the front desk/security because the restaurant had lots of very loud music and screaming still going on. I was told that the owner puts on Karaoke on Thursdays and it goes on until 1-2am and there was nothing that would be done to limit the noise/music. This building is located in middle of campground so you can hear all the music and noise everywhere. So the noise rules are a joke and are ignored by the owner himself. Additionally a person who claimed to be "on staff" (not sure if she was or if she was poising as a staff member) was with a large group of kids for actives in the evening. She was using profanity(not surprised), called a teenage boy gay and made sexual slurs about him, threatened to beat up his sister for defending him, and then start "twerking". This camp ground is not for us. Will be demanding a refund and not returning. PS - wifi stinks as well.

We stayed at the Marco Polo Land campground for two nights in August. They have 3 pools, shower and flush toilets, a few parks, a huge jumping pillow, nightly hay rides, an arcade, tons of activites for the kids, a fast food canteen, and themed weeks. The week we went it was Halloween week and they had trick or treating for the kids and a Halloween dance.

We traveled from Calgary and met up with my brother and sister-in-law, from Toronto, at Marco Polo. We had booked about 2 months in advance so that we could have camping spots side-by-side. nobody told us to bring a ''lumber yard'' for leveling and a step ladder to get into our trailers.
Both my sister-in-law and myself slipped off of our steps and fortunately were not hurt too bad.
Spoke to owner and she said no else had complained, I suggested she go and look at all the spots located on the ''hill', all were jacked way up on the step side of the trailers, they need to level off the camp spots.
We had no children with us but it looked like a wonderful place for families to have a good vacation. Brian Savage

After a long drive from Fredericton, we booked into our lovely double room with homely furnishings. Very surprised to get free Wi-Fi. Not far to the attractions of Cavandish, and a nice stroll. Breakfast the next morning was fantasic. Delivered to our door on a tray. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We also saw kittens.

From the description I assumed this was a B&B. NOT. It's a big old house with 6 BRs. To me a B&B is where you come as guests of the owners. They graciously invite you into your home. You have a personal experience. Marco Polo is just a set of rooms. Except for check-in (by the campground) there is no host/hostess. There are no common areas so you are relegated to your room. Bathroom had no shelf space. Room was tiny.
Breakfast was a surprise. You got a voucher to the local restaurant. While the food was good, again I missed the chatter with the host and other guests. Also there were no "homemade" goodies. we had a substantial breakfast of bacon and eggs and toast and coffee BUT no fresh fruit or juice (typically you get this at a B&B). you could order these items and PAY extra for them.
So overall VERY disappointed. If all you are looking for is a room and a restaurant, great; if you are looking for a REAL B&B, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
